50th Annual Westlake Village 4th of July Parade and Party in the Park

The 50th Annual City of Westlake Village 4th of July Parade on Thursday, July 4, 2019 will line up at 9:30 AM and proceed down the decorated four block route at 9:45 AM.

Participants are encouraged to decorate their bike, scooter, skateboard, or wagon in patriotic colors and join the City of Westlake Village for this wonderful patriotic celebration! Residents are also welcome to cheer participants on from the side of the parade route.

Awards for Most Patriotic Pooch, Most Patriotic Baby (0-1), Most Patriotic Toddler (2-4), Most Patriotic Elementary (K-5), Most Patriotic Middle School (Grades 6-8), Most Patriotic High (9-12), Most Patriotic Young Adult (age 19-23), Most Patriotic Adult (24-49), Most Patriotic Senior (55 and up) and Most Patriotic Family!

But wait! Before the parade, starting at 8am, Boy Scout Troop #752’s pancake breakfast will take place at the former Westlake Village Medical Center Property at 4415 Lakeview Canyon at 8:00 am. Breakfast tickets are available for $5 per person or $20 per family.

The event begins at the corner of Lakeview Canyon Road and Agoura Road and marches down the four-block Agoura Road route to Berniece Bennett Park.

Once the parade arrives at the park there will be a U.S. flag retirement ceremony performed by Boy Scout Troup 485, followed by music, inflatables, old-fashioned games and free popsicles and water. The Rotary will be on hand selling hot dogs and snacks, with proceeds benefiting a local charity.

2019 Regal Theaters Summer $1 Movie Express in Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Simi Valley

Regal Theaters presents its Summer Movie Express 2019. Moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard to enjoy a great selection of films. During this summer-long festival, select Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only a dollar ($1) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Both movies play both days.

A portion of the $1 admission price goes to assist the Will Rogers Institute.

The City of Moorpark presents its 3rd of July Fireworks Extravaganza on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 (yes...the day before the 4th) at Arroyo Vista Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark. Gates open at 3:45 p.m. Festivities start at 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5 per person; children 4 and under are free. Cash only.

2019 Pioneer Jamboree at Stagecoach Inn Newbury Park on Saturday, June 8th

The Stagecoach Inn Museum hosts its Annual Pioneer Jamboree from 10 am to 4 pm, Saturday, June 8, 2019, on the museum’s grounds at 51 S. Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park.

This is a "hands on history" event.  Featured activities include gold panning, pioneer and Indian games, storytelling, antique toys, rock painting, butter churning, clothes washing, lemon squeezing, old-time school lessons, handwriting, corn husk and yarn doll making, humongous bubble blowing, old-fashioned costume dress-up and others.

There will be food and beverages for sale. Free parking in Stagecoach Park – enter from Lynn Road just west of Ventu Park Road. Admission: Adults $6, Seniors (62+) $5, Children $4. Free under age 5. The 59th Annual Topanga Banjo-Fiddle Contest and Folk Festival on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Paramount Ranch, 2903 Cornell Road, Agoura Hills features a main stage with over 100 instrumental and singing contestants competing for cash and gift awards, many professional bands, a dance barn with square dancing, clogging and other dancing to live music, jam sessions (bring your instruments), a children's area, folk art and wares, great food, etc.

Advance tickets will be available beginning online. $18 for ages 18-64 and $15 for ages 10-17 and 65+. Kids under 10 get in free, accompanied by adult. Parking and shuttle bus are free! Bring a picnic, bring your instruments, bring your mother-in-law! Event is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

6th Annual Fireworks Spectacular Show in Westlake Village on Thursday, July 4, 2019

The 6th Annual Fireworks Spectacular Show will be presented by the City of Westlake Village on July 4, 2019. The fireworks will be fired from the Westlake Village Golf Course at 9:10 pm all the show will run 18 minutes.

The fireworks will be the grand finale to an afternoon of family-friendly activities at the Westlake Village Golf Course Driving Range and parking lot. 4th of July entertainment and activities will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 9:30 pm. The gates at the golf course will open at 5:00 pm and at 6:00 pm at Calvary.

Food truck meal options will be available for purchase. Outside alcohol is not allowed into the venue due to state regulations but will be available for purchase. Seating and picnicking will be available on the Westlake Village Golf Course Driving Range. The event is free and open to the public. Viewing locations are available at Calvary Community Church, Westlake Village Inn, Westlake Village Golf Course Driving Range, Berniece Bennett Park and surrounding areas.

Parking will be available at Calvary Community Church, Berniece Bennett Park, and the former hospital property. Valet parking is available at the Westlake Village Inn. Parking is not permitted on Agoura Road. Additional free parking is available near Brent's Deli in the parking lot that covers 2799-2835 Townsgate Road and the Westlake Park Place parking lots by 2915, 2931, 2945, 3027 and 3011 Townsgate Road. Please note that only open parking spaces are for public parking - any parking spaces marked reserved are not available to the public. Please follow the signage on Townsgate Road to locate these lots.
