2026 Regal Theaters Summer Movie Express ($1 Movies) in Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Simi Valley June 1 to August 13

Regal Theaters presents its Summer Movie Express 2026. Moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard to enjoy a great selection of films. During the summer, select Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only $1 on Monday through Thursday at designated time frames. Summer Movie Express 2026 runs June 1 to August 13.

Participating local theaters include Regal Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks (11:30am screenings), Regal Edwards Camarillo Palace Stadium 12, 680 Ventura Boulevard (11am screenings), and Regal Simi Valley Civic Center Stadium 16 at 2751 Tapo Cyn Road (11am).

2026 Sun Sets Summer Concert Series on Sunday Nights at Calabasas Lake - June to August

Spend your summer Sundays with great live music at the 2026 Summer Sun Sets Concert Series at Calabasas Lake

The traditionally private Calabasas Lake opens its doors to concert goers, providing a scenic backdrop and ample field seating for picnickers. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and sweaters. Some fixed seating is available on a first come first served basis. All performances are free to the public.

Summer evenings in Westlake Village provide the perfect backdrop for a great entertainment series. The annual TGIF Westlake Village series offers families a series of free performances.

Friday, May 29: Jazz Night with Lindero Canyon Middle School and Agoura High School Jazz Bands (This will take place at Berniece Bennett Park, 31800 Village Center Road, due to construction at the City Hall courtyard). Starts at 7pm. Food trucks available at 6pm

2026 Pioneer Jamboree at Stagecoach Inn Newbury Park on Saturday, June 6th

The Stagecoach Inn Museum hosts its Annual Pioneer Jamboree from 10am to 4 pm, Saturday, June 6, 2026, on the museum’s grounds at 51 S. Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park.

Bring the whole family to pan for gold, lasso like a cowgirl or cowboy, see a blacksmith fire-up the forge, and play pioneer games. Wear your western costumes (optional) and join the fun!

Activities include storytelling; cursive writing; fossil digging; rock painting; giant bubble making, and more! You can even try your hand at using a washboard… for laundry or for making music!

There are two parking locations- one next to the Museum on Ventu Park Road and one behind the Museum on Susan Drive.

General admission is $12. Children age 5 to 12 are $5 and age 4 and under are free. Conejo Valley Historical Society Members are free.

The City of Moorpark presents its 3rd of July Fireworks Extravaganza on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Arroyo Vista Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark. Gates open and festivities - live music, activities, games, food vendors, etc. - start at 4:00 p.m.

Admission: $8 advance purchase or $10 cash at the gate.

37th Annual Knights of Columbus Chili Cook-Off & Car Show in Simi Valley on Saturday, June 20, 2026

The 37th Annual Simi Valley Knights of Columbus Chili Cook-Off & Car Show is planned for Saturday, June 20, 2026 on the St Rose of Lima church grounds at 1305 Royal Ave, Simi Valley. Event hours are 10am to 4pm.

Sample chili, explore cars and enjoy the day with family and friends! Live bands and entertainment, large kids area, chili tasting galore, car show (over 100 cars) and vendors. There will also be plenty of vendors booths and ample quantities of food and drink.

Overflow parking available across the street at Royal High School.

General admission is $15 (early bird until 6/6), then $20. Seniors, children (ages 6-17) and active military with ID are $10. Family pass $40. Admission includes chili tastings, until the chili is gone.

71st Annual Conejo Valley Days Carnival in Thousand Oaks June 18-21 and 24-28, 2026

Conejo Valley Days will be back in 2026 on June 18 to 21 and June 24 to 28 at Conejo Creek Park South (Janss Road at the 23 Freeway).

The event will feature carnival rides, midway games, live entertainment, vendors and fair food.

Admission is $10, cash only, for ages 10 and up. Ages 5 to 9 are $5. Children four and under are free. Limited parking is $5. Carnival ride tickets available online in advance or at the event.

Venue will open 5-10pm Wed/Thu, 5-11pm Fri, 1-11pm Sat and 1-9pm Sun.

2026 Ventura County Greek Festival in Camarillo June 26-28

The 47th Ventura County Greek Festival will take place June 26, 27 and 28 at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Camarillo (5575 Santa Rosa Road).

The event features live Greek music, folk dancing, food, delicious pastries and baklava, vendors, and a kids' play area.

Festival times are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
