Dia de los Muertos Festival at Strathearn Park in Simi Valley on Sunday, October 26, 2025

The Simi Valley Historical Society invites you to their 11th Annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 11AM to 5PM at Strathearn Historical Park & Museum.

Event to include music, entertainment, craft vendors, crafts for kids, face painting, food and more. Costumes encouraged. New in 2025: Chips & Salsa Competition!

Día de los Muertos is traditionally a three day celebration running from October 31st to November 2nd.  This is an event that explores the beautiful symbols, traditions, and imagery of the holiday with activities that represent something significant and special in the remembrance of loved ones. Part of the celebration is the altars (ofrendas) in the Wood Ranch Barn. Individuals, families and businesses are encouraged to construct altars for the celebration to honor loved ones who have passed on. (Receive two free admission tickets for each altar setup! Simi Valley Oktoberfest Event on Saturday, October 4, 2025

The Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise presents its Simi Valley Oktoberfest event on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 11am to 6pm. Located at Lemon Park (Rancho Tapo Community Park), 3700 Avenida Simi. Ticket prices are $25 general admission ($18.75 early bird) and $200 for the VIP experience ($125 early bird). Ages 21+ only. The Simi Valley Police Explorer Program hosts its 13th Annual Cops N' Cruisers Car Show on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Simi Valley City Hall & Library, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley, from 9am to 2pm. Event is free of charge. There will be classic and custom cars, music, live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, raffle, silent auction and more.

All money raised will go to the Simi Valley Police Explorer Post 2910 program including; cost of training, equipment, and leadership development opportunities that the Explorers have the ability to participate in (i.e. competitions and more)

2025 Concerts at the Plaza at the Simi Valley Civic Center Plaza July 12 to August 23

Concerts at the Plaza is a free Saturday evening concert series at the Simi Civic Center Plaza on Tapo Canyon Road off the 118 in Simi Valley, in the Regal Cinema Plaza Food Court. Concerts run from 6-9pm. Emmy-winning comedian Mark DeCarlo (Hugh Neutron, Sale of the Century) will be hosting trivia contests, cracking jokes, and giving away exciting prizes throughout the summer! 2025 Regal Theaters Summer Movie Express ($1 Movies) in Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Simi Valley

Regal Theaters presents its Summer Movie Express 2025. Moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard to enjoy a great selection of films. During the summer, select Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at designated time frames. Summer Movie Express 2025 runs June 10 to August 6.

Star Spangled Rock & Country Jam & Fireworks Extravaganza in Simi Valley on Friday, July 4th

The Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley presents the Star-Spangled Rock & Country Jam and Fireworks Celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park, 5005 E. Los Angeles Avenue. Gates open at 3pm. There will be live music, food and craft vendors, silent auction, beer and wine, a free kids’ zone (courtesy of Adventist Health Simi Valley) and, of course, fireworks at 9 pm (simulcast to music on 99.1 The Ranch).

2025 4th of July Celebration at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley on Friday, July 4th

Come help us commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the United States and the signing of the Declaration of Independence that will kick off this year on July 4th and will conclude on the actual 250th birthday – July 4, 2026. The anniversary is known as “A250.” This year’s July 4th A250 inspired event will include a program with our Founding Father Presidential-reenactors, a special performance by the Los Robles Children’s Choir, and a large group patriotic photo with all of our July Independence Day guests.

Enjoy live music by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Band and country artist Justin Honsinger, along with appearances by Iwo Jima re-enactors and presidential look-alikes. Family-friendly activities include face painting, crafts, lawn games, carnival picnic games, and Presidential Bingo with prizes. Event begins at 10 a.m. All outdoor activities are free. Regular admission applies to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum, Air Force One Pavilion, and the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit.
