Veterans Day Commemoration at the Reagan Library on Tuesday, November 11, 2024

To honor the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will be hosting its annual Veterans Day Event on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The day’s activities include live musical entertainment, a civil war encampment, a military vehicle display and a program honoring all branches of our military.

The program, which begins at 11:00 a.m., includes an honor guard, live music, and a program featuring keynote speaker Retired Army Sergeant Eric Donoho. Following the program, Sergeant Donoho will sign copies of his book, Canyon of Hope: From Darkness to Dawn – Embracing the Light Within, which is a physical manifestation of the power of faith and perseverance, a belief in the goodness of the human spirit, and a commitment to physical and mental well-being.

Outdoor events and the program are free to attend; reservations are recommended to attend the program and to pre-purchase Canyon of Hope. Museum admission rates apply to visit the Reagan Museum, Air Force One Pavilion, and our new special exhibition, Cowboys: History and Hollywood. Veterans with valid ID will receive free admission to the Museum and Air Force One Pavilion on November 11. Active military members with valid ID are always free.

2025 Veterans Day Ceremony at Rancho Tapo Community Park in Simi Valley on Tuesday, November 11th

The Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District and supporting organizations present a Veterans Day ceremony at Rancho Tapo Community Park & Veterans Plaza, 3700 Avenida Simi, Simi Valley on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 11 am. Event to include music, speeches, acknowledgement of veterans in attendance and more. The ceremony will be followed by a Veterans Wellness Fair from noon to 3pm.

64th Annual Youth Halloween Carnival in Simi Valley on Friday, October 31, 2025

The 64th Annual Youth Halloween Carnival, hosted by the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, will take place on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 3-6PM at Rancho Santa Susana Community Center, 5005-C Los Angeles Avenue, Simi Valley. Event to include inflatables, trick or treat village, balloons, face painting, hay ride and carnival booths. Food available for purchase.

Admission $5 in advance for ages 3 to 12, $8 for ages 13-18. Free for 2 and under. Limited tickets at the door for $10. Activities geared towards kids ages 2 to 12.

2025 Simi Valley SnowFest Event on Sunday, November 2nd

Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is holding its annual SnowFest event on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Rancho Madera Community Park, 556 Lake Park Dr. Simi Valley.

Event to include sledding, snow lots, kids’ attractions, vendor expo and food vendors. $10 for all day wristband for snow slides and kids’ attractions. Free access to snow lot.

The Simi Valley Historical Society invites you to their 11th Annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 11AM to 5PM at Strathearn Historical Park & Museum.

Día de los Muertos is traditionally a three day celebration running from October 31st to November 2nd.  This is an event that explores the beautiful symbols, traditions, and imagery of the holiday with activities that represent something significant and special in the remembrance of loved ones. Part of the celebration is the altars (ofrendas) in the Wood Ranch Barn. Individuals, families and businesses are encouraged to construct altars for the celebration to honor loved ones who have passed on. (Receive two free admission tickets for each altar setup! The Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise presents its Simi Valley Oktoberfest event on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 11am to 6pm. Located at Lemon Park (Rancho Tapo Community Park), 3700 Avenida Simi. The Simi Valley Police Explorer Program hosts its 13th Annual Cops N' Cruisers Car Show on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Simi Valley City Hall & Library, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley, from 9am to 2pm. Event is free of charge. There will be classic and custom cars, music, live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, raffle, silent auction and more.

All money raised will go to the Simi Valley Police Explorer Post 2910 program including; cost of training, equipment, and leadership development opportunities that the Explorers have the ability to participate in (i.e. competitions and more)

Concerts at the Plaza is a free Saturday evening concert series at the Simi Civic Center Plaza on Tapo Canyon Road off the 118 in Simi Valley, in the Regal Cinema Plaza Food Court. Concerts run from 6-9pm. Emmy-winning comedian Mark DeCarlo (Hugh Neutron, Sale of the Century) will be hosting trivia contests, cracking jokes, and giving away exciting prizes throughout the summer!
