Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District Summer Movies, June through August

Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District presents free movies at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley this summer. The 2019 lineup includes:

  • Saturday, June 29: How to Train Your Dragon - The Hidden World

  • Saturday, July 27: Small Foot

The District also presents "Dive In" Movies (6-10PM) for $3 per person (kids under 2 are free) at the Rancho Simi Community Pool, 1765 Royal Avenue on the following dates:

Free Clinic of Simi Valley 5K/10K Run, 1K Kids Fun Run and Health Expo on Sat, October 12, 2019

The Free Clinic of Simi Valley, in partnership with Simi Valley Hospital, presents the Fredrick Michael Gibson 5K/10K Run for Depression Awareness and Tooth Fairy 1K Kids Fun Run and Community Health Expo at the Simi Valley Town Center on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 8:00 am – 12:00 noon.

Proceeds benefit the medical, counseling, legal and dental programs of the Free Clinic, including the pediatric dental program. The Free Clinic delivers services to thousands of people each year. The event serves as the Free Clinic’s most important fundraising event of the year and its success is critical to continued services.

Fredrick Michael Gibson 5K/10K Run for Depression Awareness - To bring awareness to the community at large about the devastating effects of depression. To shine the light on this mental illness and to be able to help people receive the care and medical treatment and counseling they might need. All proceeds benefit the Free Clinic of Simi Valley's counseling department. 

***Dogs are allowed (on a leash) and will also receive a special little "swag" to wear!! 

There are medals to the top three finishers in each age group for both the 5K and 10K. 

Stay after the run and enjoy the Health and Fitness Expo that will be going on from 8am to 12pm.

Star Spangled 4th of July Fireworks Celebration in Simi Valley on July 4, 2019

Simi Valley's Star Spangled 4th of July Fireworks Celebration will take place on Thursday, July 4th from 3-9PM at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park, 5005 E. Los Angeles Avenue. Admission will be free of charge. 

Live music, food and merchant booths, beer and wine garden, fun zone and more. Fireworks at 9PM.

2019 Regal Theaters Summer $1 Movie Express in Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Simi Valley

Regal Theaters presents its Summer Movie Express 2019. Moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard to enjoy a great selection of films. During this eight week long festival, select Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only a dollar ($1) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Both movies play both days.

A portion of the $1 admission price goes to assist the Will Rogers Institute.

2019 4th of July Celebration at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley

This 4th of July at the Reagan Presidential Library, come celebrate our Nation’s 243rd birthday with family entertainment, presidential look-alikes, face painting, storytelling and children's games and crafts. Enjoy all-American food while listening to a rousing patriotic concert.
