2025 Seaside Movie Nights at Ventura Harbor Village on August 9, September 6, and October 11

Save the date for Summer Seaside Movie Nights, August 9, September 6, and October 11, 2025 starting after sunset at Ventura Harbor Village Main Lawn, 1583 Spinnaker Drive in Ventura. Plan to arrive early to enjoy live DJ or bands, and grab dinner and dessert at one of the Village's seaside restaurants. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring blankets and low chairs.

Saturday, August 9: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.- Pre-show entertainment starts at 7pm. Movie begins just after sunset around 8pm.

Saturday, October 11: Hocus Pocus - Pre-show entertainment starts at 5:30pm. Movie begins after sunset, around 6:30pm.Costumes encouraged. Prizes awarded.

2025 Kids Summer Movie Series at Plaza Stadium 14 in Oxnard and Roxy 11 in Camarillo June 18 to August 13

The 2025 Kids Summer Movie Series will take place at the Plaza Stadium 14, 255 West Fifth Street, Oxnard and Roxy Stadium 11, 5001 Verdugo Way, Camarillo. Series will consist of 9 weeks of movies for only $3 per film. Movies are at noon (Oxnard) and 10am (Camarillo) on Wednesdays. The lineup is:

2025 Ojai Film Society Free Summer Film Series at Libbey Bowl July 25 to October 3

The Ojai Film Society announces the return of its Summer Series, presented by Hotel El Roblar. Running on alternate Fridays from July 25 through October 3, the series invites audiences to gather under the stars at Libbey Bowl for six unforgettable evenings of film, imagination, and community connection. This year’s theme, “Imagine A World,” dares us to envision a more just, expansive, and beautiful future. Each film was hand-picked to inspire courage, creativity, and connection—highlighting stories that break the mold and remind us that another world is possible.

2025 Regal Theaters Summer Movie Express ($1 Movies) in Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Simi Valley

Regal Theaters presents its Summer Movie Express 2025. Moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard to enjoy a great selection of films. During the summer, select Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at designated time frames. Summer Movie Express 2025 runs June 10 to August 6.

Participating local theaters include Regal Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks (11:30am screenings), Regal Edwards Camarillo Palace Stadium 12, 680 Ventura Boulevard (9:30am screenings), and Regal Simi Valley Civic Center Stadium 16 at 2751 Tapo Cyn Road (Screenings in the 10-10:30am range). Wild and Scenic Film Festival in Ventura on Saturday, August 23, 2025

Ventura Land Trust’s annual benefit, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, returns on Saturday, August 23, 2025 to the expansive lawn of the Ventura County Credit Union headquarters, 2575 Vista Del Mar Drive, Ventura. The film festival features nearly two hours of environmental and activism films along with live music, food trucks, drinks, raffle, auction, kids’ activities and more.

A family-friendly event, participants are encouraged to spread out on chairs and blankets. Doors open at 5 pm, and films begin around 7:30 pm as the sky darkens.
