The 18th Annual Oxnard Tamale Festival, presented by Oxnard Recreation & Community Services, is planned for Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard. On Saturday, October 25, 2025, The Downtown Oxnard Improvement Association will present “Halloween Haunt in the Park.” The kid-friendly thrills occur all evening from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard. Event will feature Trick-or-Treat Village, with booths created by local organizations, bounce houses, face painting, crafts, games, music and more. Costume contest starts at 5:30pm.

Come enjoy colorful marching bands, equestrian units, local school groups, spirited floats at the annual Oxnard Christmas Parade! Parade route goes from A & 9th Streets to west on 5th, to north on C Street, and ending at 2nd Street.

December 14th through 26th, 2025. Nightly displays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., F & G Streets between 5th & Palm. Drive through Ventura County’s largest holiday light display in the Henry T. Oxnard National Historic District. Residents provide all holiday decorations and lighting.
The Channel Islands Harbor will host its inaugural Pumpkin Paddle at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, inviting kayakers and paddleboarders to dress up in costume and celebrate Halloween on the water. This new event is part of the Harbor’s ongoing 60th anniversary celebrations, bringing the community together for festive and family-friendly activities.
Event will start at East Bank Day Dock (between Fisherman’s Wharf and the public launch ramp), then paddle to the docks at Peninsula Park.
Costume Contest
Participants are encouraged to wear costumes. A costume contest will be held following the paddle, with winners receiving gift cards to dine at local Harbor businesses SeaFresh Channel Islands and Harbor Mart. The grand prize winner will receive 4 tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain, courtesy of Cumulus Media.

If you don’t own a kayak or paddleboard, don’t worry – there are several ways to get on the water.
Hopper Boat Rentals and Channel Islands Kayak Center both offer rentals within the harbor.
The 6th Annual CHOWDERFEST event takes place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 2-6pm at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum.
The event will feature live music from local bands, creating the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of culinary delights and community camaraderie. Guests can also explore the museum's exhibits, as admission is included with the event ticket. Chowderfest bring together an exciting lineup of restaurants ready to serve their best chowders, sides and culinary creativity!
Tickets are priced at $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Given the event's popularity, advance purchase is highly recommended. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased online on the museum’s website.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Channel Islands Maritime Museum.

The 4th Annual Parade of Frights at Channel Islands Harbor is a non-competitive, Halloween-themed boat parade scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Prior to the Parade of Frights, a variety of organizations and businesses will be offering Halloween-related events and activities starting at 3 p.m.

The 10th Annual Oxnard Police Department Halloween Trick or Treat Spooktacular is planned for Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the Oxnard Police Station, 251 South C Street, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. The 28th Annual Oxnard Multicultural Festival is presented by the City of Oxnard's Community Relations Commission.
The festival is held annually on the first Saturday of October. The festival celebrates the rich cultural diversity of its residents and the city’s history. People of every culture come together to learn and discover their shared values in an atmosphere that honors all.
The festival offers a variety of performing groups, live music, food trucks, exhibitors, demonstrations and hands-on activities for the entire family. Admission is always free. The 2025 event is Saturday, October 4th from 10am to 4pm at Plaza Park, 500 South C Street in Oxnard.

More than 120 British cars from the 1930s and up will be on display during the 34th Annual Central Coast British Car Club Show to be held from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Harbor View Park, Channel Islands Harbor, 3600 Harbor Blvd, Oxnard.
