57th Annual Camarillo Christmas Parade and Holiday Carnival on Saturday, December 14, 2019

The 57th Annual Camarillo Christmas Parade will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019, starting at Las Posas and Temple Avenue, the parade travels west on Las Posas and then takes a left on Carmen Drive.  The parade will end at the Camarillo Community Center at 1605 E. Burnley Street.  The parade features floats, bands, autos and other fun stuff!  Theme of the 2019 event is "A Cosmic Christmas."

Also taking place this day, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., is Santa's Village Holiday Carnival at Community Center Park! Carnival games, inflatable attractions, live entertainment, holiday shopping, food vendors and more will be on hand. Visits with Santa Claus too but of course!

15th Annual Santa Paula Labor Day Parade, Monday, September 2, 2019

The 15th Annual Santa Paula Labor Day Parade will be held on Monday, September 2, 2019 at 10 AM on Main Street in Santa Paula.

The parade is sponsored by the Santa Paula Labor Day Parade Committee, the Rotary Club of Santa Paula and the City of Santa Paula.

Walking groups with banners, musical groups, floats, workers riding in work-related vehicles, equestrians, and all groups representing a Labor Day theme are invited to participate. The parade starts at 7th and Main Street and ends at the Gazebo at Santa Barbara and Mill.

Trophies for “Most Animated/Lively,” “Best Designed Entry,” and “Best Overall Use of Theme” will be awarded in ceremonies at the conclusion of the parade at the Gazebo. See you there!

86th Annual Simi Valley Days Parade and Carnival September 12-15, 2019

The Simi Valley Days Parade & Carnival 2019 is September 12th to 15th at the Simi Valley Town Center, north of the 118 freeway between Erringer Road and First Street.

In store is carnival games, contests and prizes, live music, shopping, arts and crafts, great food, family entertainment, car show, rides and much more!

Admission will be $7 for ages 6 to 59, $5 ages 60+. Ages 5 and under are free.

Ride wristbands will be available at the event.

2019 Channel Islands Harbor Fireworks by the Sea and Other 4th of July Activities

Channel Islands Harbor celebrates the 4th of July with a full day of family activities. The Harbor will host a variety of activities throughout the day, ending with the annual Fireworks by the Sea starting at 9 p.m., which can be viewed from anywhere in the Harbor.

Festivities begin with the 18th Annual Channel Islands Harbor 10K Race & 5K Fun Run/Walk along Sunset Lane, Hollywood Beach. Registration and check-in are at 7 a.m., followed by the 10K & 5K races starting together at 8 a.m. 

Children’s Parade: After the race, join Harbor residents and visitors for the 4th of July Children’s Parade. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at Albacore Way, travels north up Harbor Blvd. and ends at Cabezone Circle, home to Marine Emporium Landing.

After the race, fun for the whole family begins at Marine Emporium Landing. There will be activities between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m., including a crafters’ market, inflatable fun zone, a rock climbing wall and food booths.

At 6 p.m., more than 50 patriotic themed electric boats will cruise around the Harbor in the 4th Annual 4th of July Electric Boat Parade. The parade is being put on by Central Coast Electric Boats and the Channel Islands Yacht Club.

50th Annual Westlake Village 4th of July Parade and Party in the Park

The 50th Annual City of Westlake Village 4th of July Parade on Thursday, July 4, 2019 will line up at 9:30 AM and proceed down the decorated four block route at 9:45 AM.

Participants are encouraged to decorate their bike, scooter, skateboard, or wagon in patriotic colors and join the City of Westlake Village for this wonderful patriotic celebration! Residents are also welcome to cheer participants on from the side of the parade route.

Awards for Most Patriotic Pooch, Most Patriotic Baby (0-1), Most Patriotic Toddler (2-4), Most Patriotic Elementary (K-5), Most Patriotic Middle School (Grades 6-8), Most Patriotic High (9-12), Most Patriotic Young Adult (age 19-23), Most Patriotic Adult (24-49), Most Patriotic Senior (55 and up) and Most Patriotic Family!

But wait! Before the parade, starting at 8am, Boy Scout Troop #752’s pancake breakfast will take place at the former Westlake Village Medical Center Property at 4415 Lakeview Canyon at 8:00 am. Breakfast tickets are available for $5 per person or $20 per family.

The event begins at the corner of Lakeview Canyon Road and Agoura Road and marches down the four-block Agoura Road route to Berniece Bennett Park.

Once the parade arrives at the park there will be a U.S. flag retirement ceremony performed by Boy Scout Troup 485, followed by music, inflatables, old-fashioned games and free popsicles and water. The Rotary will be on hand selling hot dogs and snacks, with proceeds benefiting a local charity.

22nd Annual Rods & Roses Car Show in Carpinteria on Saturday, June 29, 2019

The 22nd Annual Rods and Roses classic car show will be held on historical Linden Avenue in Carpinteria on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 10:00am-3:00pm.

Following the car show is the annual Carpinteria Independence Day Parade, starting at 9th Street, at 5pm. The parade route will start at 9th Street, turn left  on Linden Avenue, continue up Linden Avenue, U turn at the corner of Linden and Carpinteria Avenue, and turn on to Linden Avenue to 6th Street.

Mark your calendar, bring the family and experience Carpinteria’s small town charm.

Since its conception, Rods & Roses has raised significant funds for these much needed youth organizations  through the generous donations of local businesses and community members. Rods and Roses also donates booth space on the day of the event to create fundraising and awareness opportunities for a variety of non profit and service groups.
