40th Annual California Strawberry Festival at the Ventura County Fairgrounds May 16-17, 2026

The 40th Annual California Strawberry Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17, 2026 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds (10 W. Harbor Blvd., Ventura). Festivalgoers can indulge in strawberry treats from over 50 food and beverage booths. Strawberry-themed nachos, chocolate-dipped strawberries, strawberry kabobs, popcorn, and margaritas are just a few of the choices. The festival also features 150 artists and crafters, a Strawberryland for kids, live entertainment on three stages, carnival rides, and a "build-your-own" strawberry shortcake experience.

Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. both days. General admission is $15, active military with ID and family and seniors 62 and over, $10, youth ages 5 to 12, $8 and children 4 and under are free. Limited parking onsite ($30). Visitors are encouraged to use the free shuttle service nearby or take advantage of the Ventura Amtrak Station across the street. 26th Annual Pooch Parade Dog Walk and Pet Expo in Oxnard on Sunday, September 13, 2026

Canine Adoption and Rescue League (C.A.R.L.) will host its 26th Annual Pooch Parade at a NEW location this year on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place at the beautiful 'olołkoy Beach Park, 1601 S. Harbor Blvd, in Oxnard.

In addition to a fun walk, the event will feature entertainment, education, a large vendor fair, and the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs looking for a fresh start.

The non-profit C.A.R.L. has rescued thousands of dogs since 1996.

Ventura Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 18, 2026

The Earth Day Festival will return to downtown Ventura on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at Plaza Park on East Thompson Blvd. Some event highlights include opening remarks and Chumash blessing, live performances, and more.

49th Annual Ventura Harbor Holiday Parade of Lights and Fireworks on December 12-13, 2025

Ventura Harbor celebrates the season with its 49th Annual Holiday Parade of Lights and Fireworks on Friday, December 12th and Saturday, December 13th, 2025, starting at 6:30 pm. This year's theme is “Let It Glow.”

The two-day fun filled event includes a carnival, seaside shopping and dining followed by the lighted boat parade at 6:30 pm. Fireworks after the parade each night! (weather permitting)

Kids’ rides, carnival games and food vendors on the Harbor Village main lawn available starting at 4 pm. Faux snowfall too!

Admission is free. Paid parking available or take shuttle from Harbor & Schooner Drive parking lot and Portside Ventura.
