The Thanksgiving Day 5K takes place at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
Run along the Arroyo bike path, lined with beautiful trees for shade through the center of Simi Valley and along the Arroyo Creek. Aid stations every 1.5 miles. Race starts at 8am. This is a rain or shine event.

Five07 presents the 2025 Turkey Day Dash on Thanksgiving Thursday, November 27, 2025. Register for the 5K road race or the Zack Zernik Mile (run/walk) at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, 60 West Olsen Road.
Proceeds from the event will benefit three local non-profits - Hospice of the Conejo, Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks Foundation and Ventura County Council of Boy Scouts.
The Zack Zernik Mile is named for a Conejo Valley native and lifelong “Dasher” who lost his life in January 2023 at the age of 22. Zachary “Zack” Zernik, a graduate of Thousand Oaks High School, was climbing near Mount Boney outside Newbury Park when he lost his footing and fell.
New this year: the Zack Zernik Memorial Scholarship, which will be awarded to two high school students. Winners will be announced before the start of the mile. To apply, go to turkeydaydash.org/zack-zernik-scholarship.
Festivities start at 7 am, mile run/walk (untimed) at 8 am and 5K at 8:30 am.

Head to the Ventura Auto Center, 6451 Auto Center Drive, Ventura, on Thursday, November 28, 2024 for the annual Ventura Turkey Trot.
This fast and fun 5K starts at 8 a.m. For the 14 and under crowd, there’s the Kids 1K which starts at 9:15 a.m. Registration includes finisher’s shirt, electronic chip timing and post-race food.
