Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease!

When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.

The Collection at RiverPark is hosting Walk to End Alzheimer's at 8am on September 28, 2019

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Since 1989, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s has raised more than $300 million to help those battling Alzheimer’s disease.  Alzheimer's disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, the 5th leading cause of death in California, and the 4th leading cause of death in Ventura County. More than 5 million Americans are living with the disease, and every 66 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer's.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s Oxnard is set for Saturday, September 28, 2019 at The Collection at RiverPark, 2751 Park View Court, Oxnard.

Walk to End Alzheimer's is a free, non-competitive event.  Our Oxnard Walk will be just over 3 kilometers in length with shorter ADA accessible routes available for those participants who may not feel up to completing the full route.  Everyone in the community is invited to participate and raise funds to their individual comfort level.  To register or learn more please call 805.494.5200 or visit alz.org/walk or specifically THIS LINK.

Relay For Life is a life-changing event that brings together more than 3.5 million people- to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer; remember loved ones lost to the disease; and fight back against a disease that takes too much. By participating, you honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we've lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight cancer here in your community.

Starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Oxnard High School, 3400 W. Gonzales Road.

Nearly 800 Conejo Valley residents are expected to raise nearly $160,000 at Walk MS: Conejo Valley on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Walk MS is an opportunity for people living with MS and those who care about them to connect, join together, and be inspired. In 2016 alone, nearly 300,000 people at more than 550 locations across the country walked to create a world free of MS, raising nearly $50 million.

WHEN: April 6; Check-in opens at 8 a.m.; opening ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. and walk begins at 10 a.m. (1 mile and 5K routes available)

Ronald McDonald House Charities Walk for Kids Ventura on Sunday, April 7, 2019

Ronald McDonald House Charities Walk for Kids Ventura is planned for April 7, 2019 at San Buenaventura State Beach, 901 San Pedro Street, Ventura.

Walk for Kids is a fun, family-friendly 5K walk along the promenade at San Buenaventura State Beach. All proceeds from the event will benefit the future Ronald McDonald Family Room at Ventura County Medical Center.

Form a team or walk as an individual - $25 registration fee, Kids under 18 free - all registered walkers receive a free t-shirt. Schedule: 7am registration, 8:30am program, 9am walk begins, 11am walk ends.

2015 Ventura County Walk Like MADD 5K in Camarillo on Saturday, July 11th

WALK LIKE MADD is your chance to do something about drunk driving in our community. This year, thousands of people in over 60 cities around the nation will participate in 5k events to eliminate drunk driving from our roadways. The 2015 National Alliance on Mental Illness NAMIWalk Ventura County is planned for Saturday, May 2nd at the Ventura Beach Promenade in Ventura. This is a 5K walk that starts at 10:00 am (check in begins at 9 am).

NAMIWalks are the largest and most successful mental health awareness and fundraising event in America! Through NAMIWalks' public, active display of support for people affected by mental illness, we are changing how Americans view persons with a mental illness.
