28th Annual Thousand Oaks Rotary Street Fair on Sunday, October 20, 2019

The 28th Annual Thousand Oaks Rotary Street Fair will take place on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Moorpark Road between Hillcrest and Wilbur Road in Thousand Oaks, in between Janss Marketplace and Best Buy. Plenty of parking in the adjacent shopping centers and streets.

The Thousand Oaks Rotary Street Fair continues this great event with over 19,000 expected attendees and 370 vendors!

Featuring artisans specializing in hand-made products and a Kids Fun Zone with games, crafts, jumpers, soft drinks and pizza. Live music and entertainment too. FREE Admission!

7th Annual Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair in Santa Paula on Monday, September 2, 2019

Stop by the Agriculture Museum on Monday, September 2, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the 7th Annual Labor Day Tractor Fair, immediately following Santa Paula’s Labor Day Parade. Offering a variety of activities for the entire family to enjoy, admission to the Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair is free!

Generously sponsored by the Topa Topa Flywheelers, the Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair provides visitors the opportunity to take the operator’s seat on vintage tractors, participate in tractor crafts and much more. Other attractions include pie eating contests, apple bobbing, bouncy houses, and many other exciting, family-fun activities! “Our annual Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair offers good old fashion fun for every member of the family,” Museum Manager of the Agriculture Museum Elena Waller says. “It’s also a great opportunity to explore the Museum’s latest exhibit on the Compton Cowboys.” Opening on Labor Day, this new exhibit features photographs documenting the work and mentorship of modern-day urban cowboys working with at-risk youth in South Central Los Angeles.

Performing at the Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair is Salty Suites. Their songbook of original sand traditional songs will cover bluegrass, old country, swing, and classical music with a current edge. Also performing is the Museum’s very own Haul & Oaks, featuring members of the Education department. Serving up food at the fair is Cowboy John’s Smokin’ BBQ, Farm and Flame and Kona Ice.

Participating at the Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair with exciting educational opportunities and activities is the Santa Paula Bee Club, the UC Master Gardner’s, the Santa Paula Chapter of the Future Farmers of America, and the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley. Enjoy the sunshine, live music and a variety of entertaining, family-friendly activities at the Agriculture Museum this Labor Day.

86th Annual Simi Valley Days Parade and Carnival September 12-15, 2019

The Simi Valley Days Parade & Carnival 2019 is September 12th to 15th at the Simi Valley Town Center, north of the 118 freeway between Erringer Road and First Street.

In store is carnival games, contests and prizes, live music, shopping, arts and crafts, great food, family entertainment, car show, rides and much more!

Admission will be $7 for ages 6 to 59, $5 ages 60+. Ages 5 and under are free.

Ride wristbands will be available at the event.

144th Annual Ventura County Fair Planned for July 31 to August 11, 2019

The 144th Annual Ventura County Fair, "A Country Fair with Ocean Air" will take place July 31st to August 11th at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Boulevard in Ventura.

The fair features arts, crafts, food, exhibits, displays, demonstrations, farm animals, petting zoo, carnival rides, games and entertainment. More information at www.VenturaCountyFair.org.

General Admission Prices in 2019:  Adults (13 to 64) $12.00, Children and Seniors 65+ $9.00.

Opens at 11am every day; early birds on Tuesday, August 6th, allowed in at 10am. Carnival Midway opens at noon daily. Fair closes at 11pm daily. Carnival closes between 11pm and midnight.

The Camarillo Fiesta & Street Fair is a large community celebration in Old Town Camarillo along Ventura Boulevard planned for July 18-21, 2019. This event features carnival rides, food and crafts vendors, entertainment, car show, kids' activities, carnival rides and a beer and wine garden. We've been to this event a number of times and always enjoy the live music and carnival setting. The event is free to attend. Tickets for carnival rides for sale at the event.
