Fireball Tim's Wheels & Waves Classic Car Event in Malibu 3rd Sunday of Month


Malibu Country Mart is the official host of vintage and exotic car meet-up, Fireball Tim’s Wheels and Waves. The ongoing event series is the third Sunday of most months. Hours are 7-9 am.

Auto enthusiasts will show their collections and the entire community can join in to experience eye-catching automotive inspiration. Families, kids, and guests of all ages are invited to enjoy vintage, exotic, and rare cars of all types. Photo opportunities are welcome and all events are free and open to the public.

38th Annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off on August 30 to September 2, 2019

The 38th Annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off will take place on Labor Day weekend, August 30th to September 2nd, 2019 at 23575 Civic Center Way. Hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu.

Hours as follows:

  • Fri 8/30: 1-10PM

  • Sat/Sun 8/31-9/1: 11AM-10PM

  • Mon 9/2: 11AM-8PM

Event features chili (but of course), carnival, fair, live entertainment, silent auction, food for sale, vendors, etc.

2019 Permitted 4th of July Fireworks Displays in Malibu

The City of Malibu does NOT host an Independence Day fireworks display but the LA County Fire Department issues permits for professional fireworks displays to be launched from barges off the Malibu coast each year. 

As of July 2nd, the following permits have been issued for 2019 fireworks displays:

Thursday, July 4: Paradise Cove

Thursday, July 4: Broad Beach - Malibu Colony

Displays are scheduled to begin at approximately 9 PM and must conclude by 10 PM.

The City of Malibu, in conjunction with RM Sotheby’s, invites you to Malibu Cars and Coffee. Southern California's top car enthusiasts will enjoy a beautiful drive down the coast to meet at Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway, from 7am to 9am.

Enjoy a cup of coffee at "Malibu Cars and Coffee" while admiring some of the world's finest automobiles at an unbeatable location with gorgeous views of Malibu's coastline. Cars will arrive and be available for viewing at 7 am. Visit for more information.

21st Chumash Day Powwow and Intertribal Gathering on Saturday/Sunday, April 13-14, 2019


The Chumash Day Powwow celebrates Native Americans from all over the country, representing hundreds of tribes who will gather at Malibu Bluffs Park. This is a non-competitive powwow. Native American food, craft vendors, tribal ceremonies and dances will be a part of the event on both days. Admission is free. Hours 10am to 6pm.

Parking will be off-site on the corner of Civic Center and Webb Way with a free shuttle service to and from the park.

Event is located at Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway.
