2019 Permitted 4th of July Fireworks Displays in Malibu

The City of Malibu does NOT host an Independence Day fireworks display but the LA County Fire Department issues permits for professional fireworks displays to be launched from barges off the Malibu coast each year. 

As of July 2nd, the following permits have been issued for 2019 fireworks displays:

Thursday, July 4: Paradise Cove

Thursday, July 4: Broad Beach - Malibu Colony

Displays are scheduled to begin at approximately 9 PM and must conclude by 10 PM.

2019 4th of July Fireworks at Camarillo High School

The City of Camarillo has announced that due to anticipated installation of artificial turf at the high school this summer, the annual 4th of July celebration will need to be scaled back. But the fireworks show will go on!

Camarillo High School football stadium is located at 4660 Mission Oaks Blvd.

Gates to the stadium open at 7pm and admission will be FREE for all attendees.

All seating/viewing will be from the home bleachers of the stadium. No seating will be allowed on the football field and no activities are planned for kids on the practice field, due to storage of construction materials and equipment. Fireworks will begin at 9:00 p.m.

Listen to the KBBY 95.1 at 9pm for music to accompany the fireworks.

No coolers, umbrellas, chairs, EZ-ups, etc. allowed due to space constraints. No kids’ activities planned this year. Limited space in the bleacher area. Large strollers and wagons cannot be accommodated.

Beverages/desserts available for purchase onsite. No burgers/hot dogs.

The Naval Base Ventura County Color Guard will kick off the evening with a presentation of colors, followed by DJ music. The evening will conclude with a 25-minute, multi-level fireworks display, that will begin at 9 p.m. Beverages and wrapped desserts/candy will be available for purchase onsite from the Pleasant Valley Lions Club.

Attendees may park at the Metrolink Station or behind the Technicolor building (3233 Mission Oaks Blvd.) and ride a free shuttle to/from the stadium. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes beginning at 6:45 p.m. No coolers, chairs, umbrellas, etc. will be allowed inside the stadium, as seating/viewing this year will be from the home bleachers.

Event sponsors include the Camarillo/Somis Pleasant Valley Lions Club, the City of Camarillo, Oxnard Union High School District and Adolfo Camarillo High School.

Pleasant Valley Fields will be open for viewing the fireworks! Blankets/chairs allowed. No BBQ, EZ-ups, pets, etc. allowed. No smoking, alcohol allowed.

2019 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and Other Fun Events in Thousand Oaks


The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, coordinated by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, The City of Thousand Oaks and other local sponsors, takes place on the hill behind the Hillcrest Center of the Arts in Thousand Oaks. Ice Cream Social & Birthday Celebration at Stagecoach Inn Museum in Newbury Park on Thursday, July 4th, 2019.

On the 4th of July, the Stagecoach Inn Museum will be celebrating not only the birthday of the nation but its own birthday as well. Tradition has it that the original inn was opened on July 4th 1876. The museum was reopened, after the fire that destroyed the old building, on July 4th 1976.

2019 Channel Islands Harbor Fireworks by the Sea and Other 4th of July Activities

Channel Islands Harbor celebrates the 4th of July with a full day of family activities. The Harbor will host a variety of activities throughout the day, ending with the annual Fireworks by the Sea starting at 9 p.m., which can be viewed from anywhere in the Harbor.

Festivities begin with the 18th Annual Channel Islands Harbor 10K Race & 5K Fun Run/Walk along Sunset Lane, Hollywood Beach. Registration and check-in are at 7 a.m., followed by the 10K & 5K races starting together at 8 a.m. 

Children’s Parade: After the race, join Harbor residents and visitors for the 4th of July Children’s Parade. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at Albacore Way, travels north up Harbor Blvd. and ends at Cabezone Circle, home to Marine Emporium Landing.

After the race, fun for the whole family begins at Marine Emporium Landing. There will be activities between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m., including a crafters’ market, inflatable fun zone, a rock climbing wall and food booths.

At 6 p.m., more than 50 patriotic themed electric boats will cruise around the Harbor in the 4th Annual 4th of July Electric Boat Parade. The parade is being put on by Central Coast Electric Boats and the Channel Islands Yacht Club.

4th of July Celebration at Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks

The July 4th Fireworks Spectacular at Janss Marketplace features live music, family activities, great food and the perfect location to view the impressive show of fireworks that light up the night! The July 4th fireworks are a dazzling finale to the free annual event from 5 - 9 p.m. at Janss Marketplace, located off the 101 Freeway at Moorpark Road and Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks.

Beginning at 5 p.m. on July 4, attendees can get wristbands at the Information Booth near Burlington for access to the rooftop level of Janss Marketplace, the best fireworks viewing location in Conejo Valley.

KHAY 100.7 radio station will play music beginning at 5 p.m. before The Long Run Eagles Tribute Band performance at 6 p.m. on the Parking Structure Rooftop. Amateur singers have an opportunity to win prizes in a free entry Karaoke Contest during the band break. Karaoke Contest entry is open on July 4 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at the Information Booth on the parking deck rooftop.

Other free event activities from 5 – 9 p.m. include kids’ crafts, face painting, bounce house and Magic Show. Come early for dinner or pick-up a meal from one of Janss Marketplace’s great restaurants during the event.

Join the 4th of July fun and see the best panoramic view of Conejo Valley's Independence Day fireworks on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Bethany Church on the Hill in Thousand Oaks. The festivities begin at 6:00 PM. Free children's activities include balloon artists, patriotic crafts, inflatable play zone, petting zoo, face painting, games and more! Live music provided. 2019 Rotary Club of Ventura 4th of July Fireworks Show and Family Picnic


Rotary Club of Ventura proudly presents the 25th Ventura Fireworks Show celebrating family, community and country on the 4th of July at the beautiful Ventura College fields. Gates open at 5 pm with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 pm. The evening also includes live music, robotics demonstration, giveaways, food vendors, and a Kids Fun Zone with bounce houses, GIANT inflatable attractions and organized games. Discounted Family Packs are available at venturafireworks.com now through July 4th at 5 pm. Tickets will also be available at Vons and at the Gate.

Guests may bring a picnic, including food, coolers, non alcoholic drinks (in plastic or aluminum), blankets and soft folding chairs. Small umbrellas are allowed, however pop-ups and large umbrellas are not allowed.  Please no pets and no BBQs/stoves. Games and activities like hula hoops and Frisbees are welcome as are your dancing shoes and positive attitude.

Tickets are available at each entrance gate the night of the event at standard rates of $8 adult, $6 child (4-12 years). Single tickets only at gate. Children 3 and under are FREE!
