2019 Free Concerts by the Sea at Channel Islands Harbor in July and August

Concerts by the Sea is a free concert series at Peninsula Park, 3401 Peninsula Road (next to the Hampton Inn). Oxnard on Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Musical genres to include Rock, R&B, Jazz, Blues and Swing.

Each performance in the free summer concert series will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Peninsula Park, 3401 Peninsula Rd, Oxnard at the Channel Islands Harbor, next to the Hampton Inn. Free parking is available at the park and along the street. Visitors can enjoy a wide array of musical styles, including jazz, rock, folk, pop, country and blues.

2019 Free Summer Concerts at the Thousand Oaks Library - June through August

Kalinka’s music is a high energy blend of Jewish klezmer, traditional jazz, gypsy swing, Roma music, and Middle Eastern melodies. Formed nine years ago, this Santa Barbara-based group has played at the Skirball Cultural Center, the Live Oak Music Festival, Topanga Canyon Banjo and Fiddle Festival, and many other Coastal California venues. Led by clarinetist, Fred Nadis with Eric Ederer on acoustic guitar/oud, Besnik Yzeiri and Daniel Moltke on violin, and Andrew Fedders on bass. Enjoy the concert on June 9, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Thousand Oaks Library Community Room.

The Conejo Recreation & Park District presents its 2019 Summer Concerts in the Park series at Conejo Community Park, 1175 Hendrix Avenue, Thousand Oaks. Concerts are FREE! Bring your blankets and picnic baskets. Concerts begin at 5 p.m. Call 805.381.1247 for more information or visit www.crpd.org.

Beautiful park setting and great music. The park is large and has a great play area nearby. Refreshments such as hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones, etc. are available for purchase. CRPD asks that you leave your pets at home for this series.

This Year's Lineup:

Memorial Day Monday, May 27:  Los Angeles-based The Long Run (Eagles tribute) is returning this year to perform chart-topping hits like “Take It Easy,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “Desperado,” “Hotel California,” “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” and “Take It to The Limit.”

This Memorial Day Celebration again features five vintage T-34 Navy planes conducting three flyovers at the beginning of the concert. Pilots include Michael Maloco, Marc Russell, Michael Hohls, Jon Russell, and Ronny Alldredge; coordination provided by Jerry Burkhardt.

Thursday, July 4 - Southern California’s premier high-energy, contemporary country band, Gold Rush Country combines the showmanship of a classic rock act with the heart and soul of today’s top 40 country hits. The band has appeared in concert with Grammy Award-winners Little Big Town and Kacey Musgraves, Kixx Brooks (Brooks & Dunn), Eddie Money, and Justin Moore. With female and male lead vocals, a driving rhythm section, seamless vocal harmonies, and virtuoso instrumentalists, Gold Rush Country gets people’s feet tapping & two-stepping! Featuring both country favorites and patriotic tunes, the concert includes Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise,” Jason Aldean’s “Just Getting’ Started,” Carrie Underwood’s “Two Black Cadillacs,” Little Big Town’s “Pontoon,” and Billy Currington’s “That’s How Country Boys Roll,” among others.

The show begins with the singing of the “Star Spangled Banner” and concludes with the traditional Conejo Stars & Stripes Parade march through the park. Patriotic-themed crafts are available for kids!

Sunday, July 21: Cougrzz Rock - This high-energy, all-female dance band keeps crowds rocking from start to finish! Covering a variety of musical genres ranging from today’s top 40 dance music, Latin, R&B, classic rock favorites, and timeless dance standards, the award-winning The Cougrzz band takes audiences on a boisterous musical excursion from the 70s to today’s favorite female artists’ hits. Their Thousand Oaks concert song list includes Blondie’s “One Way or Another,” The Go-Go’s “Vacation,” Scandal’s “Goodbye to You,” Pat Benetar’s “Heartbreaker,” Madonna’s “Material Girl,” Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” and Katy Perry’s “Firework.” Get ready to dance!

Sunday, August 11 - Combining timeless CCR favorites and Fogerty solo hits, the nation’s premier Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute Band, Fortunate Son personifies the spirit and grit of one of America’s favorite rock & roll bands. With the lead vocalist’s authentic sound and look of the iconic John Fogarty, the group provides unforgettable performances uniting classic rock, country, the blues, and folk music. As the nation’s longest running CCR tribute show, Fortunate Son performs across America, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Monday, September 2 - The Police Experience – Tribute to Sting & The Police - The Police Experience is regarded as the most authentic Police Tribute Band in the world and—with their ultra-high-energy performance—has been recognized for being as close as it gets to the real thing. According to Stewart Copeland, original drummer and founder of The Police, “…every nuance, all the drum parts, and the singer has Sting down to a tee…” Transport back to the 80s with this dynamic show featuring songs legendary artist Sting made famous. 2019 Camarillo Community Band Summer Concerts in the Park on Thursdays, July 11 to August 1

The Camarillo Community Band's Summer Concert Series to take place on Thursdays in July at the Constitution Park (new location in 2019), Carmen Drive at Paseo Camarillo.

Performance dates for the summer concerts are Thursdays, July 11, 18, 25 and August 1 and will start at 7:00pm (end at approximately 9 pm). Free admission. Bring chairs, blankets and picnic dinners while enjoying the show.
