Event cancelled due to the tragic impact of the Thomas Fire:

"10th Annual Half Marathon & 5K Run Is Officially Canceled As Most Of You Know Ventura County Has Been Rocked By Serious Fires The Last Few Days. Our Hearts Go Out To Our Community And Santa To The Sea Stands Ready To Assist Our Community During This Difficult Time. Many Of Our Participants And Volunteers Have Been Impacted By The Recent Fires In Our Area. Some Are Without Homes And Many Are Still Navigating The Fall Out. Therefore, It Is With Heavy Hearts That We Have Made The Very Difficult Decision To Cancel The 10th Annual Santa To The Sea Race"

The 10th Annual Santa to the Sea Half Marathon and 5K is Sunday, December 10, 2017. The half marathon begins at the giant Santa located at 2801 Ventura Blvd., Oxnard and ends at Marine Emporium Landing in the Channel Islands Harbor. The race starts at 8 a.m. In addition to the popular half marathon and 5K, there is a 2-person relay and a kids 1K run.

The half-marathon’s fast and flat course goes through the strawberry fields in Oxnard and a new business park before heading to downtown

Oxnard and the Historic District. The 5K and kids 1K starts and finishes at the Marine Emporium Landing.

Since 2009, the Santa to the Sea series of races has been awarding scholarships to deserving locals. Partially funded by grants from the Gene Haas Foundation and the Oxnard College Foundation, well over $100,000 in scholarship money has been awarded to hundreds of Oxnard College students. And thousands of toys have been collected for kids in need.

A portion of registration fees funds the Santa to the Sea Scholarship Fund.
