UCAAN Buy Me Love Charity Date Auction in Agoura Hills on Saturday, September 28, 2019

ucaan.jpg

United Cancer Advocacy Action Network (UCAAN), the non-profit organization that aids cancer warriors, patients and survivors directly, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary of impacting the lives of 10,000 cancer patients nationwide. To celebrate these two milestones, the community is invited to participate in the annual charity date auction, “UCAAN Buy Me Love.” The event will take place on Saturday, September 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Agoura Hills Calabasas Community Center located at 27040 Malibu Hills Road in Agoura Hills. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. and the event starts at 6:00 p.m.

Tickets are on sale on Eventbrite - $15.00 for VIP, available until September 5 when prices increase to $20.00 and $25.00 at the door. The Eventbrite ticket link can be found on www.UCAAN.org.

“What UCAAN does is extremely unique because we focus on people not research and what their specific needs are. We help individuals diagnosed with any kind of cancer and we never turn away a patient. We will be remembering those we fight for and those we have lost,” said Rachel Shur, cancer survivor extraordinaire and founder of UCAAN.

UCAAN caters to the patient and finds the resources that benefits them, which is specialized and customized to their needs. In 10 years, UCAAN has impacted cancer patient lives with over 90% of patients requesting financial support. UCAAN has various programs to help empower patients and their friends and family to raise the funds they need through a program UCAAN started called the “Personal Fundraising Program,” which has helped patients raise upwards of $5,000 by selling handmade items made by Shur and volunteers that are gifted to patients in need.

“We cannot keep up with this need on our own, which is why we create fun and engaging events every year to raise awareness about UCAAN, and our future goal of becoming one of the largest financial support organizations for cancer patients in the country,” Shur added.

This is the last “UCAAN Buy Me Love" event, which will make way for new UCAAN events in the coming years. A new addition this year is a live service auction where small business owners will auction off their products and services.

Caterers participating at the event include Stonefire Grill, Alligator Pear Catering, and Zen Garden.

Featured businesses that will be offering their products and services in the live auction include AnnDee McGlory, a Motivational Powerhouse Life Coach, Arnold Bloch, MFT, Jennifer Sidoti, CPT & CMT - Personal Trainer, Dr. Katrina Babcock of Rehab Wellness, and Karen Smith M.A., M.S., Educ. Of Personalized College Choice, an Independent Educational Consultant.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information email UCAANorg@yahoo.com, call 805-479-1032 or visit http://ucaan.org.
