The 12th Annual Reyes Adobe Days Festival is planned at Reyes Adobe Historical Site, 5464 Reyes Adobe Road, Agoura Hills from October 6-9, 2016.
RAD celebrates the very best of local culture with a variety of events for all ages on the grounds of an original 1845 California rancho. Runs October 6 – 9, with the free family festival on October 8 & 9, from 11 am to 4pm.
On Saturday, 10/8, the festival begins with a 10am opening parade. The parade begins at the intersection of Reyes Adobe Road and Lake Lindero Road and ends at the Reyes Adobe Historical Site & Park. The parade route is approximately 1 mile.

Highlights of the 2016 festival are:
RAD Grand Marshal is Butch Hartman, creator of the Nickelodeon series the “Fairly Oddparents”, “Danny Phantom”, “Tuff Puppy”, and a new animated cartoon coming to Nickelodeon in 2017, “Bunsen is a Beast”. Hartman will lead the mile-long parade of floats, bands, classic cars and entertainment. Hartman will also be displaying his app art and Nickelodeon illustrations used in creating his animation.
Day at the Adobe free family festival returns with the popular Kid’s Corral with wildlife exhibits, pony rides, petting zoo and train depot. New rancho themed “Native California” activities include making state flags and flowers, as well as corn grinding, laundry station, old-fashioned games, and arts & crafts. Headlining entertainment during the festiv al is rock tributes: Ghost in the Machine – a tribute to The Police & Sting on Saturday, October 8, from 2:30 – 4:00 pm and One More for the Road – a tribute to Leonard Skynard on Sunday, October 9, from 2:30 – 4:00 pm. Strolling musicians will also play period music throughout the festival grounds. (See entertainment schedule online for complete listing of activities in upcoming weeks.) Festival hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00pm.
Featured artist Tracy Lee Stum will be drawing her interactive chalk art. Known worldwide for her festival participation, Stum has the Guinness World Record for the largest street painting by an individual.
The RAD Farmhouse Tent will return with local artisans—brew masters, textile artists, jewelers, etc.—under one big festival tent. During the festival the public can shop for locally-made hand-crafted jewelry, accessories, beauty and spa treatments, gift items and sample award-winning locally-made microbrews.
Gourmet food trucks will line the festival with a variety of menus including Mexican, BBQ and Middle Eastern.
The 2016 festival kicks off with the Senior Fiesta Luncheon on October 6 at 11am with Mexican buffet, entertainment and a preview of the art gallery and Reyes Adobe Historical Site Museum tours. $10 tickets must be purchased in advance.
Night at the Adobe: The year’s signature artist reception on Friday, October 7, will offer a beer tasting with five local craft breweries participating along with a wine tasting and gourmet appetizers by local caterers. A book signing of featured artist Tracy Lee Stum and her new book, “The Art of Chalk”, exploring techniques of prominent artists and designers, will also take place at the event, held from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Ticket price includes 10 tastings with food. Advance purchase is $25 and at the door is $30. Must be 21.
The RAD Run 10K and 10-mile sanctioned runs will take place through the historic and scenic Santa Monica Mountains in Agoura Hills on October 8. After the race, runners can enjoy music, food and fun at the RAD Runs Corral. Register at www.radruns.org.
Equestrian Playday will replace the Gymkhana riding competitions on Sunday morning, October 9. Equestrians are invited to a 9:00 am breakfast “meet and greet” with their horses followed by a community trail ride.
