2025 Ventura Rotary Fireworks Show and Family Picnic on Friday, July 4th

2026 UPDATE: Ventura Rotary’s annual event at Ventura College will not be held in 2026, but will be back on July 4, 2027.

INSTEAD, the City of Ventura is hosting a free community fireworks show on Friday, July 3, 2026 in Downtown Ventura. The fireworks will be launched from the top of the parking garage on Santa Clara Street, with viewing throughout downtown, including Plaza Park. There will be live music from 7-9PM, with fireworks starting at 9PM.

The Rotary Club of Ventura is hosting its annual Fireworks Show and Family Picnic on Friday, July 4th at the beautiful Ventura College athletic fields.

Gates open at 5 pm with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 pm. The evening also includes live music, food trucks, and a Kids Fun Zone with bounce houses, inflatable attractions and organized games.

Guests may bring a picnic, including food, coolers, non alcoholic drinks (in plastic or aluminum), blankets and soft folding chairs. Small umbrellas are allowed, however pop-ups and large umbrellas are not allowed.  Please, no pets and no BBQs/stoves. 

2026 Camarillo Community Band Summer Concerts in the Park on Thursdays, July 9 to July 30

The Camarillo Community Band's 2026 Summer Concert Series is planned at Constitution Park, Carmen Drive at Paseo Camarillo on July 9, 16, 23, and 30.

Performances start at 7:00pm (and end at approximately 8:30 pm). Free admission. Bring chairs, blankets and picnic dinners while enjoying the show.

2027 Ojai Valley Century Bike Ride on Saturday, June 5th

The 2027 Ojai Valley Century bike ride is planned for Saturday, June 5th. The ride has five scenic routes: metric century (63 miles), full century (101 miles), double metric century (134 miles), hammerhead century (102 miles) and half metric century (31 miles).

All routes include tours out of Ojai, past Casitas Lake and up over the double Casitas Pass, a fast ride down the other side into Carpinteria and back down the coast to Ventura. Post race BBQ included! More information at www.ojaivalleycentury.org.

2026 Summer Concert Series at Constitution Park in Camarillo June 27 to August 8

Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District and the City of Camarillo present the 2026 Summer Concert Series. Features free concerts at Constitution Park, 601 Carmen Drive. Admission is free. Concerts start at 7pm.

2026 Run for the Rancho 5K Race Series in Calabasas on June 18, 25 and July 2

The Run for the Rancho 2026 Race Series is a 5K race series on the scenic trails at Rancho Las Virgenes, 3700 Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas that will be held on Thursdays, June 18, June 25, and July 2.

The race series supports scholarships for SAMO Fund’s internship restoration programs.

The Kiddie 1K will begin at 6:00 each evening, followed by the 5K Trail/Road run at 6:30 pm.
