2025 4th of July Celebration at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley on Friday, July 4th

Come help us commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the United States and the signing of the Declaration of Independence that will kick off this year on July 4th and will conclude on the actual 250th birthday – July 4, 2026. The anniversary is known as “A250.” This year’s July 4th A250 inspired event will include a program with our Founding Father Presidential-reenactors, a special performance by the Los Robles Children’s Choir, and a large group patriotic photo with all of our July Independence Day guests.

Enjoy live music by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Band and country artist Justin Honsinger, along with appearances by Iwo Jima re-enactors and presidential look-alikes. Family-friendly activities include face painting, crafts, lawn games, carnival picnic games, and Presidential Bingo with prizes. Event begins at 10 a.m. All outdoor activities are free. Regular admission applies to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum, Air Force One Pavilion, and the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit.

Santa to the Sea Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5K in Oxnard on Sunday, December 14, 2025

The Santa to the Sea Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5K is planned for Sunday, December 14, 2025

The half marathon begins at the giant Santa located at 2801 Ventura Blvd., Oxnard and ends at Marine Emporium Landing in the Channel Islands Harbor. The half marathon and 5K start at 7:30am and the quarter marathon starts at 7:50am. There’s also a Kids 1K at 8:30am.

This point to point course starts at the historic Santa Claus, off the 101 freeway, runs through Oxnard’s famous strawberry fields, then through downtown Oxnard and beautiful Plaza Park. Next will be historic Candy Cane Lane, where the homes are decorated for the holidays. Finally, you’re off to the Pacific Ocean, the beach, and finishing at the Marine Emporium Landing in the Channel Islands Harbor.

2025 Reyes Adobe Days "RAD" 5K on Sunday, October 5, 2025

The Reyes Adobe Days RAD Run 5K is planned for Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 8am. The race will take place on a (previously certified) flat and fast course, starting and ending at the Whizin Market Square in Agoura Hills. Custom medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place age group winners. Age groups: 13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29 30-39,40-49,50-59,60-69,70 & over.

Not only will participants have the opportunity to test their speed and endurance, but they will also be supporting a great cause. This year, percentage of the proceeds from the race will benefit the Malibu/Lost Hills Search and Rescue Team.

12th Annual Moorpark Mammoth Run 5K/10K on Sunday, October 5, 2025

The Rotary Club of Moorpark presents the Moorpark Mammoth Run 5K/10K and Family 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Runners can enjoy the beauty of Moorpark's unique landscape and compete in a fast, mostly flat 5k/10k race. There's also a 1 mile fun run/walk planned. Everyone gets a T-shirt (1 per family in the fun/run walk), goody bag, free raffle ticket and participation ribbon. Winners get medals. Registration and check-in begin at 7:00am.

All proceeds will benefit local charities through the Moorpark Rotary Foundation and this year a portion of the proceeds will go toward the eradication of polio. All donations to polio will be matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

2025 City of Camarillo 4th of July Fireworks at the Camarillo Premium Outlets

The City of Camarillo proudly presents the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show hosted at the Camarillo Premium Outlet parking lots. This FREE community event is open to the public and provides a safe and fun filled evening to enjoy the fireworks display from the comfort of your vehicle. The show is set to promptly begin at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2025.

Fireworks are best viewed from the Camarillo Premium Outlet parking lots and immediate surrounding areas. Tune in live to FM radio station 95.1 KBBY to listen to the fireworks soundtrack while you watch the show.

Please note the following:

  • Plan to arrive early to park. Spaces are first-come, first-serve, and cannot be reserved.

  •  Road closures will go into effect at 8:45 p.m. with no vehicle entry access to the parking lots after that time.

  • This is a smoke-free event, and no alcohol or illegal substances is permitted under any circumstance.

  • For your safety and protection, please refrain from bringing large picnic setups.

The 22nd Annual Ventura Nationals Car and Motorcycle Show is planned for Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Fun all around with car/motorcycle show, live music, vendors, food and more.

Wheels in Motion Event in Simi Valley on Sunday, August 24, 2025

Wheels In Motion is a free event hosted by Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District that will include a youth power wheels race, a classic car show and a touch-a-truck exhibit with vehicles from the Simi Valley Police Department, Ventura County Fire Department, RSRPD and Ventura County Air Ops.

Children 12 years of age and under are encouraged to participate in the Power Wheels race event. Racers will be divided into categories and trophies will be awarded to the winners of each race. Registration is required and is open until August 21st. Helmets are required for all participants and modified power.

Free Clinic of Simi Valley Fredrick Michael Gibson 5K/10K & Half Marathon Walk/Run on Sunday, October 12, 2025

The Free Clinic of Simi Valley, in partnership with Simi Valley Hospital, presents the Fredrick Michael Gibson 5K/10K & Half Marathon Walk/Run for Depression Awareness and Kids’ 1K Fun Run at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley (near the tennis courts at Erringer and Royal). Event will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 7 am (Half Marathon), 8:15 am (5K/10K) and 9:30 am (Kids’ Run).

Funds raised from this event will benefit the Free Clinic of Simi Valley's Counseling Programs. Every day, the Free Clinic is saving lives, improving the health of the community, and reducing health care costs for residents of Simi Valley. The Clinic does this through preventing visits to hospital emergency departments, which are costly and provide no continuity of care.

2025 Boogie Nights Summer Run Series in Ventura May 21 to July 23

The Boogie Nights Summer Run Series is back for a 10 week run in 2025 on Wednesday nights from May 21st through July 23rd, starting at 6:20 pm. 5K start/finish is at the Ventura Promenade in front of Aloha Steakhouse and The Crowne Plaza. Free kids run starts at 6 pm.

Chip timing and a t-shirt for those that register for the series and flat course along the Ventura Promenade. Cost is less than $20 per race or $139 for the entire 10 week series, including t-shirt. Drinks and a light meal from Aloha Steakhouse can be added to your registration.

Wild and Scenic Film Festival in Ventura on Saturday, August 23, 2025

Ventura Land Trust’s annual benefit, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, returns on Saturday, August 23, 2025 to the expansive lawn of the Ventura County Credit Union headquarters, 2575 Vista Del Mar Drive, Ventura. The film festival features nearly two hours of environmental and activism films along with live music, food trucks, drinks, raffle, auction, kids’ activities and more.

A family-friendly event, participants are encouraged to spread out on chairs and blankets. Doors open at 5 pm, and films begin around 7:30 pm as the sky darkens.
