2025 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and Other Fun Events in Thousand Oaks

The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, coordinated by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, The City of Thousand Oaks and other local sponsors, takes place on the hill behind the Hillcrest Center of the Arts in Thousand Oaks. Fireworks start at 9 p.m., with a great view from Janss Marketplace and The Oaks mall parking lots and surrounding areas!  Patriotic music simulcast by KHAY 100.7 FM.

Other 4th of July activities in Thousand Oaks include the following:

Pancake Breakfast $5.00/person at Borchard Community Center, 190 Reino Road, Newbury Park, from 8:00-11:00am, Pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice will be served.

The Sespe Creek 4th of July Car Show, Chili Cook-Off & Cornhole Tournament will take place in downtown Fillmore on Friday, July 4, 2025 from 9 am to 4 pm.

In addition to 250+ cars, there will be a chili cook-off, cornhole tournament, live music, food and drink vendors, craft/retail vendors, and more. Main stage entertainment will be at Central Avenue and Sespe Street.

2025 City of Calabasas 4th of July Activities

The City of Calabasas is hosting the following activities on Friday, July 4, 2025:

The Lakeside Fun Run is presented by the Calabasas Park Homeowners Association at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center. Events begin at 7:45 am and include 4 and 2 mile runs, 2 mile walk and 1/4 mile races for youth 12 and under. Register at calabasasrec.org.

Annual 4th of July Pet Show at 11 am on the Lakeside greenbelt adjacent to the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center, 23400 Park Sorrento. Free admission. No registration required.

Summer Splash Party at the Tennis & Swim Center, 2300 Park Sorrento, on July 4th from noon–5:30 pm. Spend the day poolside. There will be games, prizes, music and more. Outside food is permitted - coolers, ice chests, glass bottles, alcohol are prohibited. Free admission.

Conejo Orchid Society Annual Show and Sale in Newbury Park on May 30, 31

The Conejo Orchid Society will hold its annual Orchid Show and Sale fundraiser May 30 and 31 at the Newbury Park Library, 2331 Borchard Road. This free event will be an opportunity to learn about orchids and the Conejo Orchid Society. Learn how to care for your orchids, hop for some great bargains and try your hand at growing some of the most beautiful and unusual plants in the world.

This event includes an exhibit of members’ orchids and a wide range of inexpensive, easy-to-grow orchids for sale. Several hundred orchids from quality orchid nurseries and society member divisions will be available. Many can be grown outdoors in Southern California. Other available items will include “companion plants”, such as tillandsias, and succulents, grown by Society members, and orchid potting mix.

Demonstrations will show how to repot and care for orchids. Society members will be available to provide guidance on how best to grow your new orchids and will answer your questions.

Hours are 11am to 5:30pm Friday and 10am to 4pm Saturday. Arrive early for the best selection. Demonstrations of general orchid care will take place on Friday at 2pm and Saturday at 11am and 2pm. Admission is free. Pay for purchases with cash or checks only.

2025 Ventura County Greek Festival in Camarillo June 20, 21 & 22

The 46th Ventura County Greek Festival will take place June 20, 21 and 22 at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Camarillo (5575 Santa Rosa Road).

The event features live Greek music, folk dancing, food, delicious pastries and baklava, vendors, and a kids' play area.

Festival times are 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Redbird’s 2025 Children of Many Colors Native American Powwow May 31, June 1 in Oxnard

Redbird's Children of Many Colors Native American Powwow is a Native American cultural celebration encompassing tribal people from throughout the western hemisphere.

Native American singing, dancing, drumming, arts, crafts and food.  An authentic cultural experience and a celebration of cultural perseverance and continuity.  Public welcome.  This is a family friendly event.  The powwow takes place outdoors on the field in front of the gymnasium. There is limited covered visitor seating on the dance arena.  Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs and canopies which can be set up in the open space between the dance arena and the vendors.

Please no drugs, alcohol, smoking, vaping, fireworks or firearms.  Free parking and free admission.  The powwow is hosted by Redbird, a 501(c)(3) non profit association, and sponsored by Edison International, The Moon Family Trust, Gary Pickett, Oxnard College, and the County of Ventura Department of Arts and Culture.

2025 Rolling For Pink Bunko Tournament in Camarillo on Saturday, June 7th

Rolling for Pink is a non-profit organization that raises funds for BREAST CANCER RESEARCH.

This year will be the 15th Annual Rolling for Pink (RFP) Bunko Tournament! The event is a unique, fun, high-energy way to support the loved ones in our lives that are affected by this terrible disease. In addition to the bunko tournament, all guests at the event receive a goody bag, food and drinks. Must be 21 and over to attend. Tickets go on sale in April at rollingforpink.org.

Bark in the Park at Conejo Creek Park North in Thousand Oaks on Saturday, March 15, 2025

Bark in the Park is planned for Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 9am to noon at Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road (behind the Thousand Oaks Library).

Special activities include a dog costume contest, big and littlest dog contests, small dog races, dog entertainers, dog agility course, vendors and more. Dogs available for adoption will also be on hand.
