A Memorial Day Ceremony will take place on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Plaza Park, 500 South C Street, Oxnard. The community is welcome to join the ceremony in remembrance for those who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. Armed Services.
Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park at 5600 Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village will host its 35th Annual Memorial Day event on May 25, 2026 in honor of those who have proudly served our country. This event is free and open to the public.

The 2026 Annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off is planned for Labor Day weekend, September 4-7 at 23575 Civic Center Way. Hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu.
ADVANCE TICKET SALES ONLY! TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD ONSITE. Tickets will be available at malibuchilicookoff.org. Carnival ride tickets will be sold separately.
Event hours are 4-10PM Friday, 1-10PM Saturday/Sunday and 1-8PM Monday.
Event features a chili contest, carnival, fair, skate contest, live entertainment, food for sale, vendors, and more.

The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, coordinated by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, The City of Thousand Oaks and other local sponsors, takes place on the hill behind the Hillcrest Center of the Arts in Thousand Oaks. Fireworks start at 9 p.m., with a great view from Janss Marketplace and The Oaks mall parking lots and surrounding areas! Patriotic music simulcast by KHAY 100.7 FM.

Easter sunrise services are offered to the general public by Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park on April 5, 2026 beginning at 6:00 a.m. The service takes place in the parking lot of the main building at 5600 Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village. This is a nondenominational service and is sponsored by the Conejo Valley Interfaith Association.
There will be live music, light refreshments, and a dove release.

Donations will be collected to support the Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank. Contributions may be made in the form of non-perishable food items
Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District hosts an Earth Day event on Friday, April, 24, 2026 from 3:30-5:30pm at Atherwood Park, 2271 Alamo St, Simi Valley. Event to include park beautification planting, a take home flower project, vendors and other activities.
An Arbor Day event featuring a tree planting ceremony will take place that same day from 1-2pm at Citrus Grove Park, 2100 N. Marvel St.

The City of Port Hueneme Dept of Recreation & Community Services invites you to its Annual Spring Egg-Stravaganza at Bubbling Springs Park, 250 Bard Road, on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 9:00am-11:00am. Check-in will begin at 8:30am. The egg hunt will begin promptly at 9:30am No reservations are needed, but you must check in upon arrival.

The City of Ventura 4th of July Street Fair will be back on Saturday, July 4, 2026 along Main Street from Fir Street to Ventura Avenue as well as side streets Chestnut, Oak and California.
The street fair features over 100 arts and crafts booths, live entertainment, food trucks, a car exhibit, and family-friendly activities. Open 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The event is free to the public.
The 48th Annual Children’s Pushem - Pullem Parade is at 10 a.m. Assemble at Cemetery Park at Main and Crimea Streets at 9:30 a.m. The parade proceeds down Main Street to Fir Street at 10 a.m.

The Moorpark Field of Valor is a patriotic tribute honoring all Veterans and Active Duty Military personnel for their dedication and service to our nation, preserving our security, our independence, and our freedom. Flags will be proudly be displayed, each dedicated in honor of a friend or family member.
The proceeds from the Moorpark Morning Rotary’s Field of Valor event will go to various non-profit organizations that provide direct support to local veterans and the families of our deployed military.
A company or individual can sponsor or purchase flag(s) (3ft x 4ft) honoring a deceased veteran friend or family member.
The Moorpark Field of Valor event on Memorial Day will include color guards, bagpipes and a moving tribute to our community’s latest fallen hero. Throughout the event various guest speakers, concerts and singers will provide an exciting and magnificent tribute to our deceased veterans.
Bring the entire family along with your blanket, picnic basket, and personal tributes to this FREE event.
