The Hunt, Ventura's largest FREE Holiday Egg Hunt is planned for April 6, 2019 from 10:30 am to 1pm at Mission Park, 185 E. Santa Clara Street, Ventura.

Bring your own basket and enjoy hunts for each age group, a HUGE Kids' Zone, arts & crafts, and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny! With over 25,000 eggs to be found, this will be a fun event for everyone! No tickets required.

ADA Hunt - 11:00-11:30 AM
0-3 Years - 11:30-12:00 PM
4-6 Years - 12:00-12:30 PM
7-12 Years - 12:30-1:00 PM

52nd Annual Easter Sunrise Service at Pierce Brothers Westlake Village on Sunday, April 21, 2019

Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park is proud to host its 52nd annual Easter Sunrise Service April 21 beginning at 6:00 a.m. The service takes place in the parking lot of the main building, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village. This nondenominational service will focus on the message, “No, never. Yes, always.” The service is sponsored by the Conejo Valley Interfaith Association.

“Perhaps this year more than most our Easter Sunrise Service provides an important way to join as a united community, give thanks, and focus on the hope that comes with Easter,” said Tamara Eacker, general manager, Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park. “This year’s message reminds us that there is always a way we can say yes to our neighbors, friends, and community. We hope you will join us for this meaningful event.”

Clergy representing from churches throughout the community will concelebrate the service. Participants include The Reverend Dr. Gary Alan Dickey, Emeritus, United Methodist Church of Westlake Village; The Reverend Craig Beeker, New Hope Lutheran Church of Agoura; The Reverend John Burnett, Emeritus, Westminster Presbyterian Church of Westlake Village; The Reverend Rachel Tabutol of United Methodist Church of Westlake Village, and The Reverend Joshua Han, Westlake Village Korean Church. Music will be provided by keyboardist Karleen Van Dyke, United Methodist Church of Westlake Village and soloist Karenjo Crump, United Methodist Church of Westlake Village. A release of white doves concludes the service.

Glowing luminaries will light the hillside above the service in a cross symbolizing the new life of the resurrection. Clergy representing multiple faiths from throughout the community will celebrate the service. Gentle sheep will graze on the hillside much like they might have on the first Easter morning. As the Easter candles are lit, Dr. Gary Alan Dickey will play “Amazing Grace” on his bagpipes. During the service, scripture readings, music, and prayers will inspire all who attend this moving, non-denominational service. The Reverend Rachel Tabutol will begin the service with the Easter Proclamation and The Reverend Joshua Han will offer the Easter Blessing. The Reverends Craig Beeker and John Burnett will lead the congregation in prayer. Dr. Dickey will present the Easter Message, “Stones That Easter Rolls Away.” An offering for the Lutheran Social Services Agency of Thousand Oaks will be collected. A Resurrection White Dove release will conclude the service.

City of Westlake Village 1st Annual Spring Fling in the Park Event on Sunday, April 7, 2019

The City of Westlake Village is proud to host its first annual Spring Fling in the Park event on Sunday, April 7th, 2019 from 2-5 pm at the Westlake Village Community Park, 31107 Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

The event will feature a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, egg hunts for kids under 10, food trucks and much more! Val Surf will be stationed at the skate park providing giveaways. All activities are free to the public with the exception of the food trucks.

The afternoon kicks off at 2 pm with a free 30-minute yoga class on the park’s expansive turf fields overlooking the Conejo Valley. All ages and ability levels are welcome to attend. Bring your own yoga mat or be one of the first 100 people to receive a free mat at the event! There will be a pre-recording of the class on the City’s website for those who cannot attend or want to practice beforehand.

At any point during the event, stop by the City table to receive one of 300 kites (first-come, first-serve) or participate in arts and crafts activities. Families are welcome to bring their own kites and take advantage of the park’s perfect flying conditions atop the hill. Food trucks Farm and Flame and Kona Ice will be available starting at 2 pm, with seating available throughout the park.

Egg hunts will be held on the baseball fields every 30 minutes with the first hunt starting at 3 pm. Bring your own basket or bag and collect toy or candy filled eggs scattered across the fields. Different age groups will be located on different fields. (Ages 0-3 on Field 3), (Ages 4-6 on Field 2) and (Ages 7-10 on Field 1).

The Bunny Trail Junior Egg Hunt at De Anza Park in Calabasas on Saturday, April 13, 2019

The Bunny Trail Jr. Egg Hunt for kids 8 and under will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 9am to noon at Juan Bautista de Anza Park in Calabasas. $3 per child. Must buy tickets in advance starting March 11 at De Anza Park. Cash or check or only. Limited supply. No on-site sales. This event will sell out.

No more dashing for eggs! Your youngsters will slowly make their way around De Anza’s “bunny trail” while enjoying face painting and crafts, a petting zoo and time with the Easter Bunny! Eggs will be hidden along the trail and everyone takes home a treat.

Come celebrate an Easter Springtime Festival at Underwood Family Farms, 3370 Sunset Valley Road in Moorpark from 9:00am to 6:00pm from Saturday, March 30th to Monday, April 22nd, 2019.

Springtime Easter Festival admission is $8 Monday - Friday and $12 on Saturdays and Sundays. Children under 2 are free.  Easter Weekend Admission 4/19-4/21 is $12. $2 discount to 65+, Military, Veterans and First Responders with valid ID.

Spring Spectacular at America's Teaching Zoo in Moorpark March 16-17, 23-24, 2019

Spring Spectacular is the America's Teaching Zoo's largest fundraising event of the year, with entertaining animal shows, get a sneak peek behind the scenes, interact with wild animal trainers and their furry friends and don't miss all the games, food and fun for all!

Spring Spectacular 2019 will take place the weekends of March 16-17 and 23-24, 2019 from 10am to 5pm. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for ages 3 to 12 (free for 2 and under).
