The 2025 Kids Summer Movie Series will take place at the Plaza Stadium 14, 255 West Fifth Street, Oxnard and Roxy Stadium 11, 5001 Verdugo Way, Camarillo. Series will consist of 9 weeks of movies for only $3 per film. Movies are at noon (Oxnard) and 10am (Camarillo) on Wednesdays. The lineup is:

2025 ArtWalk Ventura on Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28

ArtWalk Ventura, returns on Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28, 2025. Hours are 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday.

More than 200 artists, dozens of venues, top local performers, poets and filmmakers will participate in ArtWalk Ventura, the area’s largest arts festival, Sept. 27-28.

This free, family-friendly celebration of the creative spirit will feature the work of area artists in local galleries, businesses, restaurants and on the grounds of Mission Park. The route starts on Main Street Downtown and goes up Ventura Avenue, encompassing the new Vita Arts complex at Garden & Main and the Bell Arts Factory. In between are numerous galleries, businesses and restaurants featuring local artists and musicians. Maps and signage will guide visitors.

Two stages, one at the Albinger Archeological Museum across from Mission Park, and another at California and Main, will feature popular local bands, theater groups and dancers. A cinema festival and poetry readings will be held in the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Street painting, a children’s area, large art installations, performers from Santa Barbara's Solstice Parade, live painting and pottery demonstrations will also be featured.

2025 Regal Theaters Summer Movie Express ($1 Movies) in Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Simi Valley

Regal Theaters presents its Summer Movie Express 2025. Moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard to enjoy a great selection of films. During the summer, select Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at designated time frames. Summer Movie Express 2025 runs June 10 to August 6.

The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, coordinated by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, The City of Thousand Oaks and other local sponsors, takes place on the hill behind the Hillcrest Center of the Arts in Thousand Oaks. The Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley presents the Star-Spangled Rock & Country Jam and Fireworks Celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park, 5005 E. Los Angeles Avenue. Gates open at 3pm. There will be live music, food and craft vendors, silent auction, beer and wine, a free kids’ zone (courtesy of Adventist Health Simi Valley) and, of course, fireworks at 9 pm (simulcast to music on 99.1 The Ranch).
