The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Conejo Valley event is a life-changing experience that gives everyone in their community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, Remember loved ones lost, and Fight Back against the disease.  The 2025 event will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm at California Lutheran University’s Memorial Field, 141 Memorial Pkwy, Thousand Oaks.

2025 marks the 27th year of Relay For Life in Conejo Valley and the 40th anniversary since the very first Relay For Life took place in Tacoma, WA! As such, this year, we're celebrating Relay is "Forty, Fabulous, and Fighting Cancer."

The festivities begin with a non-competitive 5k fun run around the beautiful CLU campus. After the runners return, we will kick off the Relay event with Opening Ceremonies featuring local civic leaders, volunteer organizers, and cancer survivors from all across Conejo Valley will start the first lap of the Relay. Throughout the day fundraising teams will host games and activities for all ages, local bands will play awesome music, and food will be available for a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Whether you are a survivor, a caregiver, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, this event is for you. Lace up your sneakers, gather your friends and family, and let's make a lasting impact together.

Little Oaks Kids Club at The Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks on Thursdays

The Oaks presents the Little Oaks Kids Club, twice a month on Thursdays from 11am to 1pm. The Little Oaks Kids Club is a monthly series of engaging, family-friendly events designed for toddlers and young children. Each free event hosts themed crafts and music to magical storytimes. Events take place on Level 1, near Hallmark and Macy’s Women’s and Kids.

The Simi Valley Police Explorer Program hosts its 13th Annual Cops N' Cruisers Car Show on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Simi Valley City Hall & Library, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley, from 9am to 2pm. Event is free of charge. There will be classic and custom cars, music, live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, raffle, silent auction and more.

2025 Concerts at the Plaza at the Simi Valley Civic Center Plaza July 12 to August 23

Concerts at the Plaza is a free Saturday evening concert series at the Simi Civic Center Plaza on Tapo Canyon Road off the 118 in Simi Valley, in the Regal Cinema Plaza Food Court. Concerts run from 6-9pm. Emmy-winning comedian Mark DeCarlo (Hugh Neutron, Sale of the Century) will be hosting trivia contests, cracking jokes, and giving away exciting prizes throughout the summer! 2025 ArtWalk Ventura on Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28

ArtWalk Ventura, returns on Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28, 2025. Hours are 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday.

More than 200 artists, dozens of venues, top local performers, poets and filmmakers will participate in ArtWalk Ventura, the area’s largest arts festival, Sept. 27-28.

This free, family-friendly celebration of the creative spirit will feature the work of area artists in local galleries, businesses, restaurants and on the grounds of Mission Park. The route starts on Main Street Downtown and goes up Ventura Avenue, encompassing the new Vita Arts complex at Garden & Main and the Bell Arts Factory. In between are numerous galleries, businesses and restaurants featuring local artists and musicians. Maps and signage will guide visitors.

Two stages, one at the Albinger Archeological Museum across from Mission Park, and another at California and Main, will feature popular local bands, theater groups and dancers. A cinema festival and poetry readings will be held in the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Street painting, a children’s area, large art installations, performers from Santa Barbara's Solstice Parade, live painting and pottery demonstrations will also be featured.

2025 Ojai Film Society Free Summer Film Series at Libbey Bowl July 25 to October 3

The Ojai Film Society announces the return of its Summer Series, presented by Hotel El Roblar. Running on alternate Fridays from July 25 through October 3, the series invites audiences to gather under the stars at Libbey Bowl for six unforgettable evenings of film, imagination, and community connection. This year’s theme, “Imagine A World,” dares us to envision a more just, expansive, and beautiful future. Each film was hand-picked to inspire courage, creativity, and connection—highlighting stories that break the mold and remind us that another world is possible.
