This event is held in combination with National Cancer Survivors Day. Activities include a 5k walk (shorter route available), survivors’ lap, music, booths, food, kids’ activities, etc.

Since 1991, CSCVVSB has worked to fulfill its mission ensuring that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. We offer professionally led support groups, individual counseling, networking groups, educational workshops, and healthy lifestyle classes. These programs are at no cost to participants.

Kids' Swap Meet at Thousand Oaks Community Center on Saturday, April 11, 2026

The Conejo Recreation & Park District’s Kids' Swap Meet is back on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 8:00am to 12:00 noon at the Thousand Oaks Community Center, 2525 N. Moorpark Rd. Thousand Oaks.

Kids can earn some money and become young entrepreneurs by selling toys, supplies and equipment they no longer need or use, during this family swap meet featuring local families as the vendors. Parents and kids can reserve an 8 x 8 spot to sell children's old toys, clothes, games, and furniture.

The Kids Swap Meet is a great shopping opportunity for parents, teachers, and day care professionals! Admission to shop at the Kids Swap Meet is always FREE.

2026 Ventura County Greek Festival in Camarillo June 26-28

The 47th Ventura County Greek Festival will take place June 26, 27 and 28 at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Camarillo (5575 Santa Rosa Road).

The event features live Greek music, folk dancing, food, delicious pastries and baklava, vendors, and a kids' play area.

Festival times are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Malibu Chili Cook-Off on September 4-7, 2026

The 2026 Annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off is planned for Labor Day weekend, September 4-7 at 23575 Civic Center Way. Hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu.

ADVANCE TICKET SALES ONLY! TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD ONSITE. Tickets will be available at malibuchilicookoff.org. Carnival ride tickets will be sold separately.

Event hours are 4-10PM Friday, 1-10PM Saturday/Sunday and 1-8PM Monday.

Summer Car Show in Downtown Oxnard on Sunday, July 26, 2026

The Summer Classic Car Show, co-hosted by the Downtown Oxnard Improvement Association and the All-for-One Car Club, is planned for Sunday, July 26, 2026 in Downtown Oxnard. Over 400 classic and specialty autos from all eras will be on display along a four-block stretch of Historic “A” Street in Downtown Oxnard. The event is free to the viewing public.

In addition to awesome autos on display, there will be live entertainment, and Downtown merchants will be offering food specials. Plenty of free parking will be available on adjacent streets, public lots and the 3rd Street Parking Structure.

$40 advance registration for show cars required. Professional judging with prizes in many categories. Proceeds benefit the Historic Downtown Oxnard Beautification Fund.

29th Annual Oxnard Multicultural Festival on Saturday, October 3, 2026

The 29th Annual Oxnard Multicultural Festival is presented by the City of Oxnard's Community Relations Commission.

The festival is held annually on the first Saturday of October. The festival celebrates the rich cultural diversity of its residents and the city’s history. People of every culture come together to learn and discover their shared values in an atmosphere that honors all.

The festival offers a variety of performing groups, live music, food trucks, exhibitors, demonstrations and hands-on activities for the entire family. Admission is always free.   The 2025 event is Saturday, October 3rd from 10am to 4pm at Plaza Park, 500 South C Street in Oxnard.

Redbird’s 2026 Children of Many Colors Native American Powwow June 20-21 in Oxnard

Redbird's Children of Many Colors Native American Powwow is a Native American cultural celebration encompassing tribal people from throughout the western hemisphere.

Native American singing, dancing, drumming, arts, crafts and food.  An authentic cultural experience and a celebration of cultural perseverance and continuity.  Public is welcome. This is a family friendly event.  The powwow takes place outdoors on the field in front of the gymnasium. There is limited covered visitor seating on the dance arena.  Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs and canopies which can be set up in the open space between the dance arena and the vendors.

Please no drugs, alcohol, smoking, vaping, fireworks or firearms.  Free parking and free admission.  The powwow is hosted by Redbird, a 501(c)(3) non profit association, and sponsored by Edison International, The Moon Family Trust, Gary Pickett, Oxnard College, and the County of Ventura Department of Arts and Culture.

City of Agoura Hills Public Safety Day on Saturday, May 9, 2026

The City of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services hosts its annual Public Safety Day event on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Fire Station #89, located at 29575 Canwood St. in Agoura Hills.

This free, family-friendly event will feature a helicopter flyover (weather permitting), hands-on CPR training, fire apparatus displays, and the opportunity to explore an open ambulance. Representatives from the Lost Hills Sheriff Station and local CERT teams will also be on site to provide valuable safety information and answer questions from the community.

Guests can enjoy free hot dogs while supplies last, along with a lively Kid Zone featuring a DJ, fun attractions, and activities for children of all ages. Whether you’re interested in learning important safety skills or simply spending a fun day with family and neighbors, Public Safety Day offers something for everyone.

Touch-A-Truck at Thousand Oaks Community Park on Saturday, June 20, 2026

The Conejo Recreation & Park District’s 2026 Touch-A-Truck will be held on Saturday, June 20th from 10:00am-2:00pm at Thousand Oaks Community Park, 2525 N. Moorpark Rd. in Thousand Oaks.

This popular event allows kids to have fun kicking the tires, honking the horns, and climbing up into the driver’s seat of their favorite trucks and construction vehicles such as a garbage truck, an Army truck, tractor, excavator, dump truck, school bus, fire engine, ambulance, bulldozer, police cruiser, SWAT vehicle, K-9 and search and rescue vehicles, motorcycles, and more.

In addition to dozens of trucks and vehicles of all shapes and sizes, there will be fun activities, including arts and crafts, a kids’ construction zone, jolly jumps, and a motorized train ride. 2026 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and Other Fun Events in Thousand Oaks

The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, coordinated by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, The City of Thousand Oaks and other local sponsors, takes place on the hill behind the Hillcrest Center of the Arts in Thousand Oaks. Fireworks start at 9 p.m., with a great view from Janss Marketplace and The Oaks mall parking lots and surrounding areas!  Patriotic music simulcast by KHAY 100.7 FM.
