On Sunday, November 2, 2025 from noon to 3 pm, the Islamic Center of Conejo Valley will be opening its doors and inviting all local residents to explore the building and the beliefs and practice of those who worship there at its annual Open Mosque Day. Kids Seaside Trick or Treat 2025

Dress up the kids and navigate through the Ventura Harbor Village from 1 – 3PM. Come early starting at noon to explore vendors and other activities. This free community event features 20+ treat stops at participating shops and restaurants, packed full of sweets (while supplies last), face painting, Halloween themed crafts, professional pumpkin carving, and more.
Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District presents the 63rd Annual Camarillo Christmas Parade and Santa’s Village on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Bring the family to cheer on local bands, equestrian groups, floats, and Santa! The parade starts at Las Posas and Temple Ave. and ends at the Community Center. The parade begins at 10 a.m. and lasts 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Santa's Village is 10am- 2pm at the Community Center, 1605 Burnley St. There will be holiday shopping, food trucks, live music, photos with Santa, and other free activities.

2025 EVENT CANCELED DUE TO FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the National Park Service, California State Parks, and Western National Parks Association (WNPA) will host Archaeology Day at the Santa Monica Mountains Interagency Visitor Center in Calabasas.
The family-friendly event, including parking, is free and is organized to shed light on a discipline that is sometimes overlooked.
All-day activities will include digging up artifacts in an “excavation” box, spear throwing, flint knapping demos, local artifacts on display, replica viewing and much more.
Visitors of all ages will also get a chance to earn a special patch and become junior archaeologists.

The Ojai Family Fund 3 Mile Fun Run Turkey Trot is planned for 8 a.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Nordhoff High School in Ojai. The Moorpark Country Days Parade will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025 on Historic High Street between Moorpark Ave. and Spring Rd. in Moorpark. The parade, with the theme “Celebrating Moorpark’s Hometown Pioneers,” will begin at 10 a.m. Street fair will begin after the parade at about 11:30am or noon, until 4pm.

The public is invited to the best FREE Conejo Valley July 4th community celebration and fireworks viewing at Janss Marketplace. The event, which begins at 5 p.m., features live music, children’s entertainment, and food booths. The patriotic holiday celebration finale fireworks at 9 p.m. are presented by the Conejo Recreation and Park District and City of Thousand Oaks.
Entry is free to the July 4th event activities and fireworks viewing area on the rooftop at Janss Marketplace, located at 275 North Moorpark Road East in Thousand Oaks. Bring folding chairs and arrive early to ensure access to the shopping center’s rooftop event area.

Wheels In Motion is a free event hosted by Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District that will include a youth power wheels race, a classic car show and a touch-a-truck exhibit with vehicles from the Simi Valley Police Department, Ventura County Fire Department, RSRPD and Ventura County Air Ops.
Children 12 years of age and under are encouraged to participate in the Power Wheels race event. Racers will be divided into categories and trophies will be awarded to the winners of each race. Registration is required and is open until August 21st. Helmets are required for all participants and modified power.
