Malibu Chili Cook-Off on September 4-7, 2026

The 2026 Annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off is planned for Labor Day weekend, September 4-7 at 23575 Civic Center Way. Hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu.

ADVANCE TICKET SALES ONLY! TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD ONSITE. Tickets will be available at malibuchilicookoff.org. Carnival ride tickets will be sold separately.

Event hours are 4-10PM Friday, 1-10PM Saturday/Sunday and 1-8PM Monday.

Event features a chili contest, carnival, fair, skate contest, live entertainment, food for sale, vendors, and more.

Event parking is $30 to $60, cash only. Ridesharing is encouraged.

The Carnival for Las Virgenes Schools at Whizin Market Square in Agoura Hills, September 4 to September 6, 2026

The Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools presents "The Carnival" on Labor Day weekend, September 4-6, 2026 at Whizin Market Square, 28914 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills. Hours are Friday 7-11pm, Saturday 2-11pm, Sunday 2-11pm. Free admission. Beer and wine garden, food, rides, carnival games and more.

Discounted unlimited ride wristbands can be purchased online for $50 ($60 onsite).

2026 Concert 4 The Conejo to Support Harbor House Thousand Oaks on September 26th

Concert 4 the Conejo, a fundraiser benefiting Harbor House, will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Church, located at 588 Camino Manzanas in Thousand Oaks. Tickets are $75 per person, and proceeds from every ticket sold directly support Harbor House's mission of serving the community.

Attendees can enjoy an afternoon of live music, delicious hors d'oeuvres, refreshing mocktails, a silent auction, and the opportunity to connect with others while supporting a local cause. Organizers are encouraging community members to reserve their spots early, as the event is expected to sell out.

13th Annual Mammoth Run 5K/10K on Sunday, October 4, 2026

The Rotary Club of Moorpark and Rotary Club of Simi Sunset present the 13th Annual Mammoth Run 5K/10K and Family 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Runners can enjoy the beauty of Moorpark's unique landscape and compete in a fast, mostly flat 5k/10k race. There's also a 1 mile fun run/walk planned. Registration and check-in begin at 7:00am.

Event proceeds benefit local charitable organizations, including the Food Pantry, the Boys & Girls Club, and The Rotary Foundation's ongoing mission to eradicate polio worldwide.

Relay for Life of Conejo Valley in Thousand Oaks on Saturday, September 19, 2026

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Conejo Valley event is a life-changing experience that gives everyone in their community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, Remember loved ones lost, and Fight Back against the disease.  The 2026 event will take place on Saturday, September 19th from 8 am to 8 pm at California Lutheran University’s Memorial Field, 141 Memorial Pkwy, Thousand Oaks.

The festivities begin with a non-competitive 5k fun run around the beautiful CLU campus. After the runners return, we will kick off the Relay event with Opening Ceremonies featuring local civic leaders, volunteer organizers, and cancer survivors from all across Conejo Valley will start the first lap of the Relay. Throughout the day fundraising teams will host games and activities for all ages, local bands will play awesome music, and food will be available for a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Free Clinic of Simi Valley Fredrick Michael Gibson 5K/10K & Half Marathon Walk/Run on Sunday, October 11, 2026

The Free Clinic of Simi Valley, in partnership with Simi Valley Hospital, presents the Fredrick Michael Gibson 5K/10K & Half Marathon Walk/Run for Depression Awareness and Kids’ 1K Fun Run at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley (near the tennis courts at Erringer and Royal). Event will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 7 am (Half Marathon), 8:15 am (5K/10K) and 9:30 am (Kids’ Run).

Funds raised from this event will benefit the Free Clinic of Simi Valley's Counseling Programs. Every day, the Free Clinic is saving lives, improving the health of the community, and reducing health care costs for residents of Simi Valley. The Clinic does this through preventing visits to hospital emergency departments, which are costly and provide no continuity of care.

26th Annual Pooch Parade Dog Walk and Pet Expo in Oxnard on Sunday, September 13, 2026

Canine Adoption and Rescue League (C.A.R.L.) will host its 26th Annual Pooch Parade at a NEW location this year on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place at the beautiful 'olołkoy Beach Park, 1601 S. Harbor Blvd, in Oxnard.

In addition to a fun walk, the event will feature entertainment, education, a large vendor fair, and the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs looking for a fresh start.

The non-profit C.A.R.L. has rescued thousands of dogs since 1996.

Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.

While there is no fee to register for Walk, all participants are encouraged to raise critical funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.

Ride to the Flags Memorial Charity Motorcycle Ride on September 13, 2026

Ride to the Flags is a 9/11 memorial motorcycle ride honoring the lives lost that day. It is an all volunteer, charity ride that has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for wounded warriors in need. Since 2023, the ride supports veteran mental health through the White Heart Foundation’s Guardian Project.

This year's ride will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026 (the 2025 event was cancelled as a result of the Malibu wildfires).

Check-in from 6:30am to 9am at Naval Base Ventura County. The escorted ride goes down PCH, ending at Malibu Bluffs Park (across the street from the Waves of Flags display at Pepperdine University) for a rally from 10am to 3pm.
