There are two great Thousand Oaks libraries; the Grant R. Brimhall Library at 1401 E. Janss Road in Thousand Oaks (805.449.2660) and the local Newbury Park Branch is at 2331 Borchard Road (805.498.2139).  These libraries provide year-round free events, activities and programs for all ages. Conejo Food & Wine Festival in Thousand Oaks on Sunday, June 28, 2026

The Conejo Food & Wine Fest is planned for Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 1:30-5:30pm on the grounds of St. Paschal Baylon School, 155 East Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. Open to everyone 21 years and older! Enjoy gourmet food from local restaurants and the finest selections from participating wineries.

2026 Ventura County Greek Festival in Camarillo June 26-28

The 47th Ventura County Greek Festival will take place June 26, 27 and 28 at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Camarillo (5575 Santa Rosa Road).

The event features live Greek music, folk dancing, food, delicious pastries and baklava, vendors, and a kids' play area.

Festival times are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

2026 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and Other Fun Events in Thousand Oaks

The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, coordinated by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, The City of Thousand Oaks and other local sponsors, takes place on the hill behind the Hillcrest Center of the Arts in Thousand Oaks. Fireworks start at 9 p.m., with a great view from Janss Marketplace and The Oaks mall parking lots and surrounding areas!  Patriotic music simulcast by KHAY 100.7 FM.

2026 Aloha Beach Festival in Ventura on September 5-6

The Aloha Beach Festival is back in 2026 after a year off in 2025 at Promenade Park/Surfer's Point, west of the Ventura Pier, the weekend of September 5-6. The festival features frisbee dogs, C Street Surf Contest, Hawaiian dancing, live bands, vendors, food, beer garden and more. Event proceeds to benefit the Flow Surf Academy.

Topanga Banjo-Fiddle Contest and Folk Festival on Sunday, May 17, 2026

The Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest & Folk Festival will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at King Gillette Ranch, 26800 Mulholland Highway, Calabasas, starting at 9 a.m. Contests begin at 9 a.m. Performances begin at noon. 40th Annual I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival at Santa Barbara Mission May 23-25, 2026

The I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival will be back over Memorial Day Weekend 2026, May 23-25. at the Old Mission Santa Barbara, 2100 Laguna Street. Festival hours are 10am to 6pm.

Madonnari, or street painters, transform the Santa Barbara Mission plaza each year over Memorial Day weekend using pastels on pavement to create over 100 vibrant and colorful, large scale images. The event is produced by the Children’s Creative Project.

There will also be live music and food available for purchase.

Pets are not allowed (other than service animals).

Tiny Porch Concerts Summer Series May through August at Peter Strauss Ranch in Agoura

The Tiny Porch Concert Summer Music Series is four outdoor concerts held every summer at the iconic Peter Strauss Ranch Theatre in Agoura Hills. There is one show per month, starting in May on Mother’s Day. This series is a must for any music lover that appreciates quality, original live music where artists travel from all over the country to perform.

The shows not only entertain, they also educate our audience about the park, its plants and wildlife. Peter Strauss Ranch is a unique theatre with a rich history of entertaining. Our community plans to keep it that way!

If you like the series and want to support but are not a sponsor or VIP donor, you can still help. There are donation boxes at every show, or you can donate by clicking on the “Donate” button at the bottom of the home page. Organizers are always looking for volunteers to help with each production. Tiny Porch Concerts is a non-profit 501c3 dedicated to the artists and the local National Parks that hold our concerts. All proceeds are donated to the Santa Monica Mountains Fund.

2nd Annual Conejo Valley Comedy Festival in Thousand Oaks on February 13-15, 2026

The Conejo Valley Comedy Festival announces its 2md annual event, set to bring three days packed with comedy, connection, and community to the Conejo Valley.
