2025 Ojai Film Society Free Summer Film Series at Libbey Bowl July 25 to October 3

The Ojai Film Society announces the return of its Summer Series, presented by Hotel El Roblar. Running on alternate Fridays from July 25 through October 3, the series invites audiences to gather under the stars at Libbey Bowl for six unforgettable evenings of film, imagination, and community connection. This year’s theme, “Imagine A World,” dares us to envision a more just, expansive, and beautiful future. Each film was hand-picked to inspire courage, creativity, and connection—highlighting stories that break the mold and remind us that another world is possible.

  • August 8: The NeverEnding Story

  • August 22: The Greatest Night in Pop (with director Bao Nguyen in attendance)

  • September 5: 9 to 5

  • September 18: Speak. (with director Jennifer Tiexiera in attendance)

  • October 3: Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Walk-ups are welcome, and RSVPs are encouraged at ojaifilmsociety.org. Films start at 7:30PM. Libbey Bowl is located at 210 S. Signal Street in Ojai.

Founded in 1988, the Ojai Film Society (OFS) is a volunteer-run registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to presenting independent, foreign, documentary, and classic films to the Ojai Valley—outdoors, in community, for free. Through its popular Summer Series at Libbey Bowl and year-round partnerships across the Valley, OFS fosters inclusive, intergenerational gathering around the love of film. 2025 City of Agoura Hills Summer Concerts in the Park - June through August

The City of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services and the DIY Home Center present the 2025 Summer Concerts in the Park. Concerts are held at 6pm on Sundays and are free of charge. (Suggested donation $2) Food trucks on hand.

All concerts will be held at Chumash Park, 5550 Medea Valley Drive, Agoura Hills.

Camarillo Old Town Heritage Days Fiesta takes place July 16 through 20, 2025. Free admission. 2025 Camarillo Community Band Summer Concerts in the Park on Thursdays, July 10 to July 31

The Camarillo Community Band's 2025 Summer Concert Series is planned at Constitution Park, Carmen Drive at Paseo Camarillo on July 10, 17, 24 and 31.

Performances will start at 7:00pm (and end at approximately 8:30 pm). Free admission. Bring chairs, blankets and picnic dinners while enjoying the show.

Presented by the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Parks District, the 2025 conductors are:

2025 Hueneme Beach Festival Planned for July 12-13

The City of Port Hueneme presents the Hueneme Beach Festival the weekend of July 12-13, 2025. Hours are 11am to 8pm both days.

Event will feature live music on two stages, great food and drinks, children’s activities, carnival rides, vendors, high school band competition, Hueneme Beach Wrestling Tournament, and more.

2025 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and Other Fun Events in Thousand Oaks

The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, coordinated by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, The City of Thousand Oaks and other local sponsors, takes place on the hill behind the Hillcrest Center of the Arts in Thousand Oaks. Fireworks start at 9 p.m., with a great view from Janss Marketplace and The Oaks mall parking lots and surrounding areas!  Patriotic music simulcast by KHAY 100.7 FM.

Star Spangled Rock & Country Jam & Fireworks Extravaganza in Simi Valley on Friday, July 4th

The Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley presents the Star-Spangled Rock & Country Jam and Fireworks Celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park, 5005 E. Los Angeles Avenue. Gates open at 3pm. There will be live music, food and craft vendors, silent auction, beer and wine, a free kids’ zone (courtesy of Adventist Health Simi Valley) and, of course, fireworks at 9 pm (simulcast to music on 99.1 The Ranch).
