Be sure to stop by Girsh Park in Goleta on September 28-29, 2024 for the 31st Annual California Lemon Festival. Admission and parking are free. Open 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.

Festival will include 80+ booths, lemony food and drinks, live entertainment, kid zone, classic car show on Saturday, Safety Street, pie eating contests, and more.

2024 Free Movies at Warner Park in Woodland Hills, Saturday Nights in August

The Valley Cultural Center hosts Free Movies at Warner Ranch Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills again this year on Saturday evenings in August. Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, family, and friends and settle down for free family entertainment.

Films will be presented on a 30-foot professional theatrical screen with digital projection, surround-sound, and high-resolution digital picture.  Parking available at 21800 Califa Street, between Topanga and Owensmouth. Parking fees are a donation to Valley Cultural Foundation.

The Carnival for Las Virgenes Schools at Whizin Market Square in Agoura Hills, August 30 to September 2, 2024

The Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools presents "The Carnival" on Labor Day weekend, August 30, 31 and September 1, 2 at Whizin Market Square, 28914 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills. 2024 Surf Rodeo Music & Surf Festival in Ventura on July 5-6

Surf Rodeo will take place on Friday/Saturday, July 5-6, 2024 at Surfer’s Point in Ventura.

Sea Center on Stearns Wharf Celebrates World Oceans Day

Come celebrate World Oceans Day at the Sea Center on Stearns Wharf during a festival from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Free admission from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM will be made possible with the generous support of the UCSB Associated Students Coastal Fund and the Stearns Wharf Merchants Association.

During the festival, guests can meet an array of community partners dedicated to ocean conservation and celebration, including Santa Barbara Channelkeeper, California State Parks, UCSB's Caselle Lab, The Fish Reef Project, Channel Islands Naturalist Corps, Channel Islands Marine and Wildlife Institute, Santa Barbara Channel Whale Heritage Area, Channel Islands Restoration, and Celebration Cruises, who will be raffling off a Lil’ Toot trip package at their table.

The Sea Center features life-size models of a Gray Whale mother and calf, touchpool habitats where guests can touch sea stars and sea anemones, a Wet Deck modeled after a scientific research vessel’s lab, and Shark Cove, where visitors can get up close with small local sharks. In addition to exploring the Sea Center’s interactive exhibits, guests can enjoy storytimes, meeting the Sea Center's very own Toothy the Shark, an announcement of the winners of a marine-themed student art contest, and a display by the Harbor Patrol’s fireboat.

2024 Santa Barbara Harbor & Seafood Festival on Saturday, October 19th

When it comes to fresh seafood, you can’t get it any fresher than right off the boat. On October 19, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Santa Barbara Harbor & Seafood Festival lures seafood lovers of all ages to Santa Barbara’s thriving harbor for one of the community’s most beloved and flavorful events. 

This signature event coincides with lobster season and features local commercial fishermen offering the Santa Barbara Channel’s freshest seafood. Fishermen and seafood vendors will provide thousands of festival-goers with an abundance of live lobster, crab, prawns, BBQ albacore, clam chowder, fish tacos, seafood gumbo and other prepared dishes. Arts and crafts vendors will offer jewelry, clothing, art, photography and other hand-crafted items.

Admission is FREE. Since 2002, the annual Harbor and Seafood Festival has become Santa Barbara’s signature autumn event. It brings people together for a day full of fun and good memories.
