The weather is generally in the low 70's -- you can't ask for better summer cycling weather! There are lots of great rest stops along the way. Pre-race breakfast and post race lunch included.

2025 Bulldog 50K and 25K Runs in Malibu Creek State Park on Saturday, August 17th

The challenging and popular Bulldog runs consist of two races - the 25K Bulldog Trail Run and the 50K Bulldog Ultra Run, which are conducted simultaneously (though the 50K starts an hour earlier - at 7 am.). This year’s event is on August 16, 2025.

Run in the beautiful scenic Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area beginning at base camp in Malibu Creek State Park.

The course offers inspirational vistas of untamed terrain and sweeping ocean views. The challenging trail weaves through the mountains on single track and fire roads.

Corks and Kegs Wine and Beer Festival in Thousand Oaks on Thursday, October 9, 2025

The inaugural Corks and Kegs Wine and Beer Festival is planned for Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 5:30-8:30PM at The Gardens at Los Robles Greens in Thousand Oaks. Hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks, merging two previous fundraising events - Conejo Uncorked and BrewFest - into one celebration. Event to feature an evening of fine wines, craft beers and delicious cuisine. Proceeds will support Kiwanis programs and initiatives that are dedicated to enriching the lives of children and families in our community. Ages 21+ only. Tickets must be purchased in advance. 2025 Movies in the Park in Moorpark - June to September

The City of Moorpark presents Movies in the Park at Arroyo Vista Community Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road. Movies begin at dusk. Gates open an hour prior. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and enjoy the movie. Vendors available, or bring your own snacks. No animals allowed (except service animals). Free admission.

Summer evenings in Westlake Village provide the perfect backdrop for a great entertainment series. The annual TGIF Westlake Village series offers families a series of free performances at the Westlake Village Civic Center, 31200 Oak Crest Drive. Events start at 7 pm, with food available for purchase from a variety of great food trucks at 6pm.

Spend your summer Sundays with great live music at the 2025 Summer Sun Sets Concert Series at Calabasas Lake

The traditionally private Calabasas Lake opens its doors to concert goers, providing a scenic backdrop and ample field seating for picnickers. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and sweaters. Some fixed seating is available on a first come first served basis. All performances are free to the public.

2025 Heritage Square Summer Concert Series on Friday Nights, June 13 to August 22

Oxnard's Heritage Square Summer Concert Series returns in 2025 for another 10 week run, from June 13th to August 22nd. Concerts start at 6pm and end at 8:30pm, with a half hour break at 7pm.

Concert tables can be reserved in advance for a fee. Individual tickets will be available day of show starting at 5pm for $10. Unreserved spots on the lawn available free of charge (donations appreciated). More details at www.heritagesquareoxnard.com/concerts.html.

Beachfront Run Half Marathon, 10K, 5K & Kids Run in Ventura on Saturday, June 7, 2025

The Ventura Beachfront Run (1/2 Marathon, 10K, 5K & Kids Fun Run) will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025 with a scenic course along the beautiful coastline.  The race will begin on the north side of the Ventura Pier, 668 Harbor Boulevard. 

The half marathon and 10K runs along the oceanfront promenade and extends along PCH, creating a flat and scenic course.  The 5K runs out and back along the oceanfront promenade.  Half marathon starts at 7 am. More information and registration at runsignup.com/Race/Info/CA/Ventura/CIBeachfrontRun.
