A Memorial Day Ceremony will take place on Monday, May 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Plaza Park, 500 South C Street, Oxnard. The community is welcome to join the ceremony in remembrance for those who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. Armed Services.
The inaugural Corks and Kegs Wine and Beer Festival is planned for Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 5:30-8:30PM at The Gardens at Los Robles Greens in Thousand Oaks. Hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks, merging two previous fundraising events - Conejo Uncorked and BrewFest - into one celebration. Event to feature an evening of fine wines, craft beers and delicious cuisine. Proceeds will support Kiwanis programs and initiatives that are dedicated to enriching the lives of children and families in our community. Ages 21+ only. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The City of Moorpark presents Movies in the Park at Arroyo Vista Community Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road. Movies begin at dusk. Gates open an hour prior. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and enjoy the movie. Vendors available, or bring your own snacks. No animals allowed (except service animals). Free admission.

Summer evenings in Westlake Village provide the perfect backdrop for a great entertainment series. The annual TGIF Westlake Village series offers families a series of free performances at the Westlake Village Civic Center, 31200 Oak Crest Drive. Events start at 7 pm, with food available for purchase from a variety of great food trucks at 6pm.

Spend your summer Sundays with great live music at the 2025 Summer Sun Sets Concert Series at Calabasas Lake
The traditionally private Calabasas Lake opens its doors to concert goers, providing a scenic backdrop and ample field seating for picnickers. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and sweaters. Some fixed seating is available on a first come first served basis. All performances are free to the public.

The Camarillo Old Town Friday Night Cruise is back for 2025 on the 4th Friday of the month from March through October from 4-7 p.m.

Drive down Ventura Boulevard with your classic car to the Studio Channel Islands Art Center at 2222 Ventura Boulevard. There will also be vendors, face painting and music in addition to the 200+ anticipated classic cars to see. Try some local takeout by supporting the Camarillo Old Town eateries with their pre-order and/or take-out options.
The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History opens its popular summer exhibit Butterflies Alive! on Saturday, May 24, 2025 and will be open until September 1st.
Guests are invited to walk through a serene garden while nearly 1,000 live butterflies flutter freely around them. Various butterfly species cycle through the Sprague Butterfly Pavilion during the summer, so no two visits are the same.
The exhibit requires $3 tickets in addition to regular admission and is open daily, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Last entry into the pavilion is at 4:30 PM. Reservations are recommended at sbnature.org/tickets. Admission to the museum is $19 for ages 18-64, $17 for 65+ and 13-17, $14 for ages 2-12 and free for toddlers under age 2.

Oxnard's Heritage Square Summer Concert Series returns in 2025 for another 10 week run, from June 13th to August 22nd. Concerts start at 6pm and end at 8:30pm, with a half hour break at 7pm.
Concert tables can be reserved in advance for a fee. Individual tickets will be available day of show starting at 5pm for $10. Unreserved spots on the lawn available free of charge (donations appreciated). More details at www.heritagesquareoxnard.com/concerts.html.
