Chowderfest Event at Channel Islands Maritime Museum on Sunday, September 14, 2025

The 6th Annual CHOWDERFEST event takes place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 2-6pm at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum.

The event will feature live music from local bands, creating the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of culinary delights and community camaraderie. Guests can also explore the museum's exhibits, as admission is included with the event ticket. Chowderfest bring together an exciting lineup of restaurants ready to serve their best chowders, sides and culinary creativity!

Tickets are priced at $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Given the event's popularity, advance purchase is highly recommended. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased online on the museum’s website.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Channel Islands Maritime Museum.

Westlake High School Instrumental Music Boosters presents its 15th Annual Food Truck Festival on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 11am to 3:30pm at Conejo Creek Park North, adjacent to the Thousand Oaks Library at 1379 E. Janss Road.

Many Mansions "Bowls of Hope" Event in Thousand Oaks on Sunday, October 12, 2025

Bowls of Hope aims to raise awareness for the need for affordable housing in our community, and to funds for Many Mansions’ programs that serve the formerly homeless, veterans, seniors, and families of very low income. The 2025 Bowls of Hope event will take place at Momentum, 2400 Willow Lane, Thousand Oaks, at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 12th.

Designed to represent a soup kitchen, attendees select a bowl handcrafted by community members and enjoy delicious and comforting food, in community. Experience meaningful & fun family activities: an informative exhibition on the homelessness issue, affordable housing, and Many Mansions; an opportunity to take action and be part of the solution; crafts, games, a raffle, silent auction, and more!

Ride to the Flags Memorial Charity Motorcycle Ride - Back in 2026

2025 event will not take place due to the Malibu wildfires and logistical challenges they created. Planned to be back in 2026.

Ride to the Flags began in 2008, accompanying the Wave of Flags 9/11 Memorial at Pepperdine University. Although not officially associated with the collegiate memorial - the ride does end at the memorial for a short service. Ride to the Flags is an all volunteer, charity ride that in the past has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for wounded warriors in need. In 2023 and beyond, the ride supports veteran mental health through the White Heart Foundation’s Guardian Project.

This year's ride will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

Check-in from 7:30am to 9:30am at Naval Base Ventura County, followed by a ceremony at 10am. The ride starts at 11am down PCH, ending at Malibu Bluffs Park for a rally.

The Carnival for Las Virgenes Schools at Whizin Market Square in Agoura Hills, August 29 to September 1, 2025

The Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools presents "The Carnival" on Labor Day weekend, August 29th through September 1st, 2025 at Whizin Market Square, 28914 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills. Hours are Friday 6-11pm, Saturday 2-11pm, Sunday 2-10pm and Monday noon-5pm. Free admission. Beer and wine garden, food, rides, carnival games and more.

8th Annual Haunted Housing Run 5K in Ventura on Sunday, October 26, 2025

The 2025 Haunted Housing Run is planned for Sunday, October 26th at San Buenaventura State Beach.

Haunted Housing Run is a Halloween-themed 5K run/walk in support of the Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura (HACSB) Scholarship Program. Each year HACSB awards scholarships to current residents of affordable housing communities owned and/or managed by HACSB who are currently enrolled at a four-year college/university, community college, or vocational school.

Event begins at 8:30am at 901 San Pedro Street, Ventura. Costumes are encouraged!

Relay for Life of Conejo Valley in Thousand Oaks on Saturday, September 27, 2025

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Conejo Valley event is a life-changing experience that gives everyone in their community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, Remember loved ones lost, and Fight Back against the disease.  The 2025 event will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm at California Lutheran University’s Memorial Field, 141 Memorial Pkwy, Thousand Oaks.

2025 marks the 27th year of Relay For Life in Conejo Valley and the 40th anniversary since the very first Relay For Life took place in Tacoma, WA! As such, this year, we're celebrating Relay is "Forty, Fabulous, and Fighting Cancer."

The festivities begin with a non-competitive 5k fun run around the beautiful CLU campus. After the runners return, we will kick off the Relay event with Opening Ceremonies featuring local civic leaders, volunteer organizers, and cancer survivors from all across Conejo Valley will start the first lap of the Relay. Throughout the day fundraising teams will host games and activities for all ages, local bands will play awesome music, and food will be available for a donation to the American Cancer Society.

The Thousand Oaks Rotary Foundation will celebrate the 24th Annual Thousand Oaks Rotary Wine & Beer Festival on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 1-4PM at the Westlake Yacht Club, 32119 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village. The 23rd Annual Margarita MixOff and More, presented by Soroptimist International of the Conejo, is planned for Thursday, September 25, 2025 at The Gardens at Los Robles Greens in Thousand Oaks from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Tickets are $55 in advance and $65 at the event. Admission gets you tickets to taste margaritas and appetizers. Beer, wine and soft drinks included. Ages 21+ only.
