The event is an exciting and family-friendly event featuring many race options: Cheseboro Half Marathon, Old Agoura 10K, Deena Kastor 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run.

2026 Mountains 2 Beach Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K in Ventura on Sunday, April 19th and 5K on April 18th

The Mountains 2 Beach Marathon on Sunday, April 19, 2026 starts in beautiful Ojai at just over 700 ft. and gradually descends to sea-level over 18 miles, finishing near the historic Ventura Pier.

The Mountains 2 Beach Half-Marathon is a fast, beautiful, point to point 13.1 mile course that stars in the town of Oak View down the bike path to Ventura. Also on Sunday is a 10K run.

On Saturday, April 18th, the beachside M2B 5K will take place at San Buenaventura State Beach Park. A Kids 1K will take place at 1pm.

The race takes place in Point Mugu State Park, starting at Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa in Newbury Park. Challenging, single track, switchback climbs and descents, creek crossings and climb up the Old Boney trail.

The 2025 Haunted Housing Run is planned for Sunday, October 26th at San Buenaventura State Beach.

Haunted Housing Run is a Halloween-themed 5K run/walk in support of the Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura (HACSB) Scholarship Program. Each year HACSB awards scholarships to current residents of affordable housing communities owned and/or managed by HACSB who are currently enrolled at a four-year college/university, community college, or vocational school.

Event begins at 8:30am at 901 San Pedro Street, Ventura. Costumes are encouraged!

2024 Shoreline Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and 10K in Ventura on Sunday, July 14th

The 2024 Shoreline Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and 10K are planned for Sunday, July 14th at the Emma Wood State Beach Group Campgrounds. Start at Emma Wood State Beach Group Campground head onto the bike path,  bike path leads you onto HWY-1 beachfront bike path.  All runners will stay on the bike path or shoulder (ocean side) of Highway 1 along the route.  turn around at the designated turnaround point at approx 6.55 mile mark and back towards the finish line the same way you came out. 

Marathon starts at 7am, half marathon starts at 7:15 a.m., 10K at 7:30 a.m. and 5K at 7:45 a.m.

SoCal Ride & Rally to Defeat ALS in Newbury Park on Saturday, May 6, 2023

The 7th annual SoCal Ride and Rally to Defeat ALS is a one-day community event designed to appeal to every level of cyclist, hiker, walker and supporter of The Golden West Chapter of The ALS Association. It's all happening on May 6 at Dos Vientos Community Park from 7:30am to 2pm. This fundraiser helps support members of the local community who are impacted by ALS Disease.

Cyclists can take the 40-mile or 25-mile route with a lovely rest stop at the Elks Lodge in Thousand Oaks. Hikers have a 6-mile outing on the Powerline Trail. A wheelchair-friendly Family Walk of .7 miles around the park will also be available. Registration fees start at $20 for the Family Walk, $35 for the hike and $55 for bike riders. Fees increase on April 1.

Coffee, bagels and fresh fruit are provided at the start of the activities. Upon crossing the finish line participants partake of a delicious lunch, live music, and refreshing beverages.
