Moorpark Groundhog Day 5K and 1 Mile Run on Saturday, February 7, 2026

The Moorpark Groundhog Day 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is planned for Saturday, February 7, 2026. Event proceeds benefit Moorpark High School’s cross country and track programs. All ages and abilities are welcome.  All participants age 11 and under who complete the 5k will received a finisher medal.  There will also be a “Catch the Groundhog” 1 mile fun run for kids 11 and under which will be held on the track with finisher medals for all.

Post-race festivities include the awards ceremony with age group medals plus refreshments, vendors and a raffle of wonderful prizes donated by local businesses.

Moorpark High School is located at 4500 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark. There will be plenty of free parking close to the race start.

2025 Annual Community Holiday Dinner in Thousand Oaks on December 25th

Local community members in need are invited to join Temple Adat Elohim in the congregation’s festively decorated social hall, located at 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, for a delicious hot turkey meal with all the fixings. Guests will also enjoy listening to holiday music. Gifts will be available for children.

The Annual Community Holiday Dinner takes place on Thursday, December 25, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at 2420 E. Hillcrest Dr., Thousand Oaks. Event is free and open to everyone - nonsectarian - all are welcome.
