Conejo Recreation & Park District (CRPD) announces its 2nd Annual Festival de los Muertos event, a vibrant celebration of the cherished Mexican tradition, will be taking place on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4-9PM at the Borchard Community Center, located at 190 N. Reino Rd, Newbury Park.

Enjoy crafts, live music, vendors, food vendors and more. The event will be open to the public, and admission is free. Families and individuals of all ages are encouraged to attend and join in the festivities.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Foundation presents "Coppers and Choppers" free family event on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 11am to 2pm at the Ventura County Sheriff's Dept Air Unit at the Camarillo Airport, 375 Durley Ave, Ste A, Camarillo. Event features deputies, K-9 units, mounted patrol, search and rescue, marine operations, bomb/arson unit, SWAT and up close viewing of squad cars and helicopters. 2024 ArtWalk Ventura on Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22

ArtWalk features a variety of artists from all over Southern California showcasing and selling their art including painting, photography, mixed media, glass, ceramics and more. Salute to Our Veterans Event at Stagecoach Inn Museum Newbury Park on Saturday, November 9, 2024

Wear red, white & blue or your military uniform and join the Stagecoach Inn Museum for Veterans Day on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Docents will honor some of our earliest Conejo Valley pioneers who served. Their service spans the years from the Civil War to the present. Pictures, uniforms, medals, and other regalia will be featured.

Enjoy patriotic music while touring the beautiful museum and grounds, get your picture taken in front of a 10’ by 14’ American flag loaned for this special day of remembrance by volunteer and veteran, Darrell Jones. Children can make crafts, pan for gold, join in a fall critter hunt, and learn the importance of Veterans Day.

2024 Aloha Beach Festival in Ventura on August 31 and September 1

The Aloha Beach Festival is BACK after a year off in 2023 at Promenade Park/Surfer's Point, west of the Ventura Pier, the weekend of August 31 and September 1, 2024.   The festival features frisbee dogs, C Street Surf Contest, Hawaiian dancing, live bands, vendors, food, beer garden and more. 12th Annual Cops N' Cruisers Car Show in Simi Valley on Sunday, September 8, 2024

The Simi Valley Police Explorer Program hosts its 12th Annual Cops N' Cruisers Car Show on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the Simi Valley City Hall & Library, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley, from 9am to 2pm. Event is free of charge. There will be beautiful cars, music, live entertainment, “Dunk-a-Cop,” food trucks, vendors, raffle, silent auction and more.

All money raised will go to the Simi Valley Police Explorer Post 2910 program including; cost of training, equipment, and leadership development opportunities that the Explorers have the ability to participate in (i.e. competitions and more)
