The 18th Annual Oxnard Tamale Festival, presented by Oxnard Recreation & Community Services, is planned for Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard. The Camarillo Old Town Friday Night Cruise is back for 2025 on the 4th Friday of the month from March through October from 4-7 p.m.

Dive into a world of wonder as Imaginarium brings its newest adventure, “Atlantis,” to the Camarillo Premium Outlets starting Friday, August 15th through Sunday, October 26th. The limited-run event will also feature daily, pulse-pounding performances by John’s Adrenaline Circus, included with general admission.
Spanning over 1 1/2 acres and featuring over five million lights, the walk-through experience will transport guests into a glowing, interactive realm inspired by the mythical lost city. Visitors will journey through nine illuminated undersea worlds, each combining ambient soundscapes, fantastical displays and vibrant color to reimagine Atlantis in spectacular fashion.

Spooky Town returns to the Simi Valley Town Center on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 5-9pm. Free event to include trick or treating, craft tables, costume contest, Halloween music and dancing.
The Camarillo Ranch Foundation will celebrate the City’s namesake’s birthday with a free birthday celebration that will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The birthday celebration is a tradition that honors Don Adolfo’s love for community.

The 39th Annual California Avocado Festival takes place October 3, 4 and 5, 2025. Festival hours 1pm to 11pm Friday (Locals Only Block Party - open to all), 10am to 10pm Saturday and 10am to 7pm Sunday.

Downtown Ventura’s Costume Contest & Trick-or-Treating is planned for Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Main Street in Downtown Ventura. Free event to include a costume contest (with prizes) at 3pm on the Main Street Stage followed by trick-or-treating at downtown businesses on Main Street starting at 4pm. There will also be a Best Pet Costume Contest this year.
The 2025 Calabasas Pumpkin Festival is planned for Sunday, October 19th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Juan Bautista de Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road. There will be a pumpkin patch, pumpkin pies, pumpkin painting, live music, food court, vendor marketplace, professional pumpkin carving, photo opportunities, reptile shows, inflatable rides and games and more.
Tickets go on sale in September. $15 per person in advance online (processing fees apply). $20 at the gate (processing fees apply). Kids under 24 months are free. Guests of all ages are invited to celebrate Día de los Muertos at three locations in downtown Santa Paula on Sunday, November 2, 2025! This free, family-friendly community celebration at the Santa Paula Art Museum, Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery, and the Museum of Ventura County’s Agriculture Museum offers traditional craft-making activities, music and dance performances, altar installations, face painting, and more. Día de los Muertos attire is encouraged. Admission and activities are free for everyone.
Visitors can begin at any of the three locations and proceed to the others. Pick up an event passport at any site and have it stamped at all three locations to be entered to win a raffle prize. Free parking is available at the Santa Paula Art Museum, Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery, and the Museum of Ventura County’s Agriculture Museum. Hours and activities vary by location. Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery will celebrate with a day full of festivities to enjoy with family and friends. Build an ofrenda on a loved one’s grave or contribute to a community altar. Have your face painted, decorate a sugar skull, and listen to Mariachi music. Visit various vendors and enjoy a tamale and a cup of champurrado. Experience Aztec and Folklórico dancers, and participate in a procession through the cemetery. Catholic Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., with the blessing of graves to follow, led by Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.

Join Santa Paula’s Agriculture Museum in celebrating Día de los Muertos with a special DIY turmeric anthotypes activity using marigolds. With this project, guests will learn the cultural significance of marigolds and how plants can be used as natural dyes to decorate handkerchiefs. Visitors will also have access to the Museum’s outdoor garden and exhibition, “Enfoque: Voces Indígenas Mexicanas del Condado de Ventura/ In Focus: Mexican Indigenous Voices of Ventura County.”
