Walk to End Alzheimer's at The Collection at Riverpark in Oxnard on September 30, 2017

The Collection at RiverPark is hosting Walk to End Alzheimer's at 8am on September 30, 2017.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Since 1989, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s has raised more than $300 million to help those battling Alzheimer’s disease.  Alzheimer's disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, the 5th leading cause of death in California, and the 4th leading cause of death in Ventura County. More than 5 million Americans are living with the disease, and every 66 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer's.

Walk to End Alzheimer's is a free, non-competitive event.  Our Oxnard Walk will be just over 3 Kilometers in length with shorter ADA accessible routes available for those participants who may not feel up to completing the full route.  Everyone in the community is invited to participate and raise funds to their individual comfort level.  To register or learn more please call 805.494.5200 or visit alz.org/walk
