Slime Kitchen, a premier slime-making experience, is celebrating the opening of its newest location at The Oaks in Thousand Oaks.

Join them for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and candy bar, then take part in an interactive, step-by-step DIY slime experience, where guests can create their own personalized slime. DIY experiences are available for purchase during the event.

The first 50 guests who complete a DIY experience will receive a complimentary special slime surprise at checkout.

Slime Kitchen’s immersive ten-step process guides customers as they select their base, choose scents, add colors, and incorporate mix-ins to create custom slimes as unique as their imaginations. Designed to ignite creativity and promote sensory learning, the experience transforms slime-making into a journey of connection and discovery.

House of Bamboo Tiki Lounge in Camarillo to Open on Wednesday, February 11th

House of Bamboo Tiki Lounge is opening next Wednesday, February 11th at 2227 Ventura Blvd in Old Town Camarillo, between Elm and Fir, across from the Studio Channel Islands Art Center.

City of Camarillo Announces Costco to Open Before the End of 2026

The City of Camarillo today announced that after a lengthy period of legal proceedings, Costco is officially coming to the community. The development will feature a 160,000-square-foot Costco warehouse and a 32-pump gas station located at the west end of Camarillo Town Center (south of the 101 and west of Home Depot). The gas station is nearing completion and is expected to open as early as April. retail warehouse will begin soon, with doors projected to open before the end of the year.

Kaze Omakase Recently Opened in Thousand Oaks

Kaze recently opened at 1610 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Suite B in Thousand Oaks in the former Bright Belly. Kaze offers an elevated omakase experience that pairs contemporary Japanese cuisine with refined nigiri, guided by seasonality, balance, and progression. Enjoy a 19-course tasting menu, weaving together hot and cold dishes throughout the evening. It is an intimate, speakeasy-style environment offering two counter seatings of 12 guests at 6pm and 8:30pm Wed-Sat and 4:30pm and 7pm on Sun. There's no sign up at this point, but they are indeed open for business.

Cici's Cafe in Westlake Village (and its original location in Tarzana) rebranded as Lady C's this past weekend. Same owners, same employees, same menu. They indicate the change, after 20 years in business, is due to a trademark issue.
