Hot Motha Clucker at 1610 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks has closed its doors. It opened just under 2 1/2 years ago in the spot that previously was occupied by The Fisherman's Wife, 101 BBQ Hut, and Burgerim.
Cedro Italian Restaurant in Newbury Park posted this announcement to its Instagram Story yesterday, indicating it will be serving its last meal on Sunday, November 23rd. The owners will be re-opening at a new location in East Los Angeles. Cedro is located in the former Stella's at 2385 Michael Drive, where it opened on January 18, 2024. cedrorestaurant.com

Grabbagreen Thousand Oaks closed its doors on October 19th but its owner is excited to be opening a, new independent concept called All Good Eats & Drinks. All Good will offer locally sourced meals and drinks with whole food ingredients. There will be a soft opening soon, followed by a full grand opening in near the new year.

The original Thousand Oaks Grabbagreen at 2835 T.O. Blvd opened on January 28, 2017. This second location on Moorpark Road opened on March 1, 2020, subsequently consolidating into this location.
The Natural Cafe Westlake Village is closing its doors on Friday, September 26, 2025. The nearest Natural Cafe location is in Moorpark. Visit thenaturalcafe.com for more information.
The Newbury Park Natural Cafe location closed in September 2017. The Simi Valley location closed in the September 2022 time frame.
Pick Up Stix at The Commons at Calabasas recently announced that its lease will not be renewed and it will be closing in about a month. The remaining nearby Pick Up Stix location is in Westlake Village. www.pickupstix.com
Barney's Gourmet Hamburgers at The Commons at Calabasas has closed its doors. It opened in March 2022. The space was previously occupied by Menchies Frozen Yogurt, between Starbucks and soon to be BLVD Steak.
The former Chef Burger at 1771 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd (at Los Feliz Drive, next to 7 Eleven) is currently available for lease. It is a 650 sq ft location that has been a mainstay of Thousand Oaks since 1966 - nearly 60 years.
Originally it was Tastee Delite, until 1971. Over the years it has operated under a number of names, including Mr. G's (early 1970s), Mary's Coffee Shop (1973), Zorba's Coffee Shop (mid 70s to around 1982), and then Chef Burger for quite a long time (1982 until recently, under multiple owners).

Tiki Taco, which opened at the Best Buy Plaza in Thousand Oaks on April 14, 2023, didn't quite make it to two years. However, the owners are rebranding at Breakers Sports Bar & Grill, to open in March.
The former La Paz Mexican Restaurant at 4505 Las Virgenes Road in Calabasas is undergoing remodeling and will be reopening in a few months as Hacienda Tapatio Mexican Restaurant and Bar. There’s a sign on one door that indicates a connection with Taqueria El Tapatio #1 (www.eltapatio-1.com) while the other sign indicates you can learn about the grand opening and other events by emailing them at haciendatapatio@gmail.com.
