Malibu Brewing Company to Open New Agoura Hills Location on August 25th

Malibu Brewing Company officially opens its second location on August 25 at 29281 Agoura Road in Agoura Hills, at the former longtime home of Ladyface Ale Companie.

The official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place at 10:30 a.m. on August 25. As part of its opening celebration, Malibu Brewing Company is donating 20% of opening day sales, up to $2,500, to Southeast Ventura County YMCA.

To mark the opening, Malibu Brewing Company is releasing two beers in honor of the Agoura Hills taproom. Ladyface IPA is named for the mountain range visible from the taproom windows and outdoor patio, while Overly Ambitious, a Belgian Dubbel, is inspired by Blind Ambition, a beer poured in the same building during the Ladyface era. Both beers will be available on draft, while Ladyface IPA will also be offered in exclusive 16-ounce four-packs.

The entire space underwent an extensive remodel, bringing a fresh and updated design. The 190-seat space includes a central bar with 22 taps, indoor dining areas, lounge seating, and a 115-seat all-weather patio designed for live music and community programming. Throughout the restaurant, warm woods, natural textures, and layered indoor-outdoor design details preserve the character of the historic building while reflecting the brand’s coastal California roots. The bar top is made from reclaimed bowling alley wood, while familiar white brick surrounds the bar, carrying forward key design elements from the Malibu location.

The brewery’s working on-site brewhouse has been modernized and remains a centerpiece of the experience, continuing the property’s long history as a place where beer is brewed and enjoyed on site. Malibu Brewing Company plans to host brewmaster tours, tastings, seasonal beer releases, and special events that give guests a closer connection to the brewing process and the team behind it.

The menu brings together Malibu Brewing Company favorites, including the MBC Smashburger, Santa Fe Short Rib Sando and Fresh Catch Tacos. New additions include the Agoura BBQ Pub Burger and the Tan Pig, a ciabatta sandwich layered with pulled pork, black truffle aioli, coastal coleslaw and chile crema. Other highlights include Fish & Chips featuring beer-battered local red snapper, and the Pink Lady Salad with poached pear, burrata and prosciutto, named in homage to the famed Pink Lady of Malibu mural in Malibu Canyon. The Agoura Hills location will also serve brunch on weekends, with a Monte Cristo sandwich among the opening offerings.

The beverage menu features Malibu Brewing Company’s full lineup of award-winning craft beers and rotating seasonal releases, alongside handcrafted cocktails and a thoughtfully selected wine list.

About Malibu Brewing Company

Malibu Brewing Company is a family-owned California craft brewery and restaurant dedicated to award-winning beer, a chef-driven menu, and community-rooted hospitality. Founded in 2020 by Ryan and Jill Ahrens, the brand was built on the idea that a local brewery should be as connected to its neighbors as it is to its craft, offering a place where guests feel known, welcomed, and at home.

The brewery produces a range of locally brewed beers spanning crisp, approachable styles such as Sand & Sea Mexican-Style Lager and Happy Days Honey Blonde Ale, alongside more distinctive offerings including Canyon Rosé Lager and Hatch Green Chile Lager. The brewing program emphasizes quality ingredients and brewing techniques, including a gluten-reduction process, producing award-winning beers. To date, Malibu Brewing Company has earned 41 medals across 11 beers, with recognition from the Great American Beer Festival, the Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards, the Brewers Cup of California, and “Best of Show” at the 2026 California State Fair. The menu features casual American fare with coastal California and Southwestern influences, including elevated takes on familiar dishes such as the MBC Smashburger, Santa Fe Short Rib Sando, and Fresh Catch Tacos, with a focus on thoughtfully sourced ingredients.
