Drive Thru Starbucks Coming to Southwest Corner of Thousand Oaks Blvd and Auto Mall Drive

As if we didn't need another Starbucks in the Conejo Valley, here comes another one, this one another of the extra-popular drive-thru variety. This new Starbucks is located at the southwest corner of Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Auto Mall Drive. It looks to be opening quite soon.

Let's take a look. 101 North Eatery & Bar Opening Soon at The Shoppes at Westlake Village

101 North Eatery & Bar is opening soon in the former home of Olio Pizzeria at The Shoppes at Westlake Village, 30760 Russell Ranch Road, Westlake Village.

Que Pasa Mexican Cafe Opened Recently in Old Town Camarillo (Closed July 2019)

August 2019: Eviction notice on front door. Que Pasa appears to be closed.

Que Pasa Mexican Cafe & Tequila Bar opened a couple weeks ago at 2433 Ventura Boulevard in Old Town Camarillo, in the historic "J.F. Lewis & Sons - 1916" building previously occupied by JJ Brewsky's, The French Bulldog, the Old Town Tavern and most recently, for a short time frame in 2017, Julian's Restaurant & Bar. Que Pasa Mexican Cafe was established in 1999 with its first location in Bakersfield.

Pho & Tea Opened in December at The Oaks Shopping Mall Food Court (Closed July 2024)

Pho & Tea closed its doors in early July 2024.

I managed to miss the late December opening of the Pho & Tea eatery located in The Oaks mall food court in the space previously occupied by Tacone Wraps. 

Pho & Tea offers pho noodle soup, sandwiches, spring rolls, teas, boba smoothies and more. The sign says "Bubble Tea Drink." According to Wikipedia, a bubble tea contains a tea base mixed with fruit or milk, to which chewy tapioca balls and fruit jelly are often added.

The Sandwich Spot is Now Open in Newbury Park

The spot formerly occupied by Subway in the Newbury Square Shopping Center, near Smart & Final Extra! at 2110-C Newbury Road is now open as The Sandwich Spot. 

The Sandwich Spot bakes fresh breads from the world famous Boudin Bakery in San Francisco in their stores daily.  Offering 24 "Signature" sandwiches as well as basic sandwiches with a variety of meats.

Five07 Coffee Bar and Eatery Now Open at Oakbrook Plaza in Thousand Oaks

Original post 11/12/17: Amelia S gave us the heads up via the Conejo Valley Guide Facebook page that the Five07 Coffee Bar and Eatery is opening sometime this winter at the Oakbrook Plaza in Thousand Oaks, 2036-C East Avenida de los Arboles (next to Vons).

The menu at www.thefive07.com/menu includes coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, paninis and more.

Maya Mexican Cuisine Opened in Thousand Oaks in January

Update 3/19/19: Maya Mexican Cuisine has closed its doors.

Carl's Jr. Westlake Village Re-Opened in Late December 2017 with Drive-Thru

The new and improved Carl's Jr at the corner of Westlake and Townsgate in Westlake Village has been open since late December 2017, to the delight of Western Bacon Cheeseburger fans in the area. Now you can order said burger from the comfort of your car seat, with the drive-thru added to the remodeled location. The first generation Carl's eatery at this spot was closed for remodel last summer.

Dave & Buster's is Hiring in Preparation for Opening of Thousand Oaks Location in 2018

As indicated last May, Dave & Buster's is looking to open its first location in Ventura County, right here in our very own city of Thousand Oaks. The new Dave & Buster's will be opening sometime this year in the former home of Sports Authority at 145 West Hillcrest Drive, #130.

Job opportunities at this new Thousand Oaks location posted on the D&B's website last week include Amusements Manager, Assistant General Manager, Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, Senior Manager and Sr. Corporate Sales Manager.
