There is a free Social Mommy & Me class that welcomes babies 4-12 months old for gentle movement exploration while moms connect and build friendships with other new parents in the community. As children grow, energetic preschool gymnastics classes introduce the fundamentals through play, while dynamic recreational gymnastics programs build strength and flexibility. Reign & Shine Play Lab in Oak Park

4/7/26: Reign & Shine announced it will be closing the physical location, but will be announcing a new concept in the future.

Reign & Shine Play Lab in Oak Park is a modern, immersive indoor play space designed for children ages 6 months to 10 years, with a special focus on imaginative, sensory-friendly experiences. The facility features sensory-based interactive play areas, including an interactive swing wall, a live draw wall, interactive ball wall and floor, and an interactive slide.

Kids can also explore an interactive moon sand table, themed pretend play stations (such as the Cosmic Clinic, Astro Market, and Intergalactic Salon), and a cozy reading nook. Many of the interactive games incorporate STEAM-inspired learning elements, blending fun with educational value. A parent lounge and co-working area complete the experience, making it a place where both kids and parents can enjoy their time.

Yarrow Family YMCA in Westlake Village opened to the public in late April 2019 at 31105 Thousand Oaks Boulevard, at Westlake Village Community Park. 'ololkoy Beach Park (Oxnard Beach Park)

The ‘ololkoy Beach Park* (formerly Oxnard Beach Park) is located at 1601 South Harbor Boulevard, south of Wooley Road in Oxnard.  The park has a large pirate-themed play area. There is a larger structure for 5 to 12 year olds and a smaller one for younger kids.

*Renamed after the Chumash word for dolphin in 2023.

This park is just a short walk to the beach, where you and the kids can spend time digging holes, building sand castles and running from the waves. The park is also in close vicinity to Channel Islands Harbor. 

The park has a large grassy area, restrooms, BBQ grills, bike paths, etc.  There is a parking fee at this park; just $1/hour or $5/day.

The Collection at Riverpark is offering free, family-friendly fun at Kids Club, sponsored by Sunny Smiles Dentistry for Children and Young Adults. Kids Club events are open to all children and families. Don’t give the little ones a chance to say they’re bored this summer!
 
Kids Club will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon on the grass at Collection Park and take place on the following Wednesdays: June 11, 25, July 9, 23, August 6.
 
Bring the kids and a picnic blanket to the grass at Collection Park for a fun-filled morning of entertainment, crafts and fun surprises.

Samuelson Aquatics Center Community Pool at CLU in Thousand Oaks

The Community Pool at Samuelson Aquatics Center is the result of a unique collaboration between the University, the Conejo Recreation and Park District and the City of Thousand Oaks. 

This year-round facility includes a nice shade structure, picnic tables, outdoor showers, classes and more. The seven-lane pool serves as a warm-up pool for CLU athletes during competitions.  It is available to the local community, swim clubs and masters swimmers.

Kids Fun Zone and Outdoor Play Area at Janss Marketplace

Janss Marketplace announces the themes for the 2025 FREE Kids Fun Zone, held from 12 – 2 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month from May through September. Each month children, ages 12 and younger, who are accompanied by an adult, are invited to enjoy free shows, crafts, music and dance at the Kids Fun Zone at Janss Marketplace, located at 275 North Moorpark Road East in Thousand Oaks, just off the 101 Freeway at Moorpark Road and Hillcrest Drive.
