Howl-O-Ween Event at Mission Oaks Dog Park in Camarillo on Saturday, October 25, 2026

Bring your dog in their scariest, funniest, most original costume – or even do matching costumes with your dog, to Howl-O-Ween at Mission Oaks Park, 5501 Mission Oaks Boulevard, Camarillo (in the off leash area) on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 10am to 1pm. Free admission. No registration necessary. Dog costume contest, best trick contest, pet vendors, raffles, other fun doggie activities and food trucks will be on hand (or paw).

Dogs are to be kept on a leash with a leash length not exceeding 6 feet. Owners must follow dog park rules and regulations.

Mission Oaks Dog Park is an off-leash dog park, but for special events such as Howl-O-Ween, leashes are required.

Dogs may be off-leash in the designated area to perform in the best trick contest and must be back on a leash immediately following their trick.

2026 Simi Valley SnowFest Event on Sunday, November 1st

Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is holding its annual SnowFest event on Sunday, November 1, 2026 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Rancho Madera Community Park, 556 Lake Park Dr. Simi Valley.

Event to include sledding, snow lots, kids’ attractions, vendor expo and food vendors. $20 for all day wristband for snow slides and kids’ attractions. Free access to snow lot.

Conejo Recreation & Park District (CRPD) announces its 4th Annual Festival de los Muertos event, a vibrant celebration of the cherished Mexican tradition, will be taking place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 4-8PM at the Borchard Community Center, located at 190 N. Reino Rd, Newbury Park.

Annual Ojai Day Event Planned for Saturday, October 17, 2026

Ojai Day is an annual downtown street fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. planned for Saturday, October 17, 2026. Over 100 vendors, local original art and jewelry, dance performances, great food, kids' activities, crafts demonstrations, classic cars, health, wellness and spiritual demonstrations and much more.

The event was originally conceived in 1917, took a hiatus in the 1920’s and has been back with a vengeance since 1993. It’s grown tremendously and has become one of the most popular events in Ojai. The event itself celebrates life, culture and the arts.

Ojai Day was first celebrated in the 1920's after glass magnate Edward Libbey offered to finance the construction of the downtown Arcade, present day Libbey Park and the post office with its 65-foot bell tower. Ojai's most prominent citizens decided to host a city wide celebration to show their appreciation to Libbey. Thus, Ojai Day was born.

The name Ojai comes from the Chumash language and means “The Moon” or “Bird’s Nest.”

The Santa Paula Labor Day Parade will be held on Monday, September 7, 2026 at 10 AM on Main Street in Santa Paula.

Walking groups with banners, musical groups, floats, workers riding in work-related vehicles, equestrians, and all groups representing a Labor Day theme are invited to participate. The parade starts at 7th and Main Street and ends at the gazebo at Santa Barbara and Mill.
