Enter the 14th Annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Costume Contest at Ventura Harbor Village on Saturday, October 24th at noon. Space is limited to the first 75 dogs. Kids Seaside Trick or Treat 2026

Friday, October 30 from 4-6PM

Dress up the kids and navigate through the Ventura Harbor Village from 4-6PM on Friday, October 30, 2026. This free community event features over a dozen treat stops at participating shops and restaurants, packed full of sweets (while supplies last), face painting, Halloween themed crafts, professional pumpkin carving, and more. Event is free but there is a parking fee.

City of Malibu Bu Bash Halloween Carnival on Friday, October 23, 2026

The City of Malibu Community Services Department presents the Bu Bash Halloween Carnival Spooktacular on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 3-6PM at Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway. Event is for ages 2-10 and features arts and crafts, carnival games, costume cat walk, bounce houses, food trucks, trick or treat street and more. $10 per participant (kids only). "Boo at the Zoo" Event at The Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College, October 24-25, 31 and November 1, 2026

The Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College, 7075 Campus Road, Moorpark, turns wildly spooktacular the weekends of October 24-25 and October 31-November 1 from 11am to 4:30pm for “Boo at the Zoo,” the annual Halloween-themed event that features animal shows, trick or treating, kids’ scavenger hunt, food trucks, free kids’ crafts and more.

For the family-fun event, the Zoo will be draped in decorations, and people of all ages can closely view the more than 100 animals cared for at the Zoo.

Admission is $15 for ages 12-64, $13 for ages 3-12 and $13 for seniors (65+). Kids ages 2 and under are admitted free. Tickets available at zoo.moorparkcollege.edu/boo-at-the-zoo.

The Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College is the only zoo in Ventura County and is the home of the Exotic Animal Training and Management Program, which started in 1971. The program offers preparation for those interested in entering the expanding animal care industry. The students study zoo keeping, basic medical care, wildlife education and training using positive reinforcement methods.

Halloween Haunt in the Park in Oxnard on Saturday, October 24, 2026

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, The Downtown Oxnard Improvement Association will present Halloween Haunt in the Park. The kid-friendly thrills occur all evening from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard. 24th Annual City of Westlake Village City Celebration Event on Saturday, October 10, 2026

The City of Westlake Village's 24th Annual City Celebration will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 3pm to 8pm. Event will feature the White Oak Elementary Family Fun Fair, food trucks, craft beer, wine, family friendly activities, live performances, and more.

Purchase an unlimited ride bracelet for $40 or individual ride tickets for $5 each. One ride requires one ticket. Purchase your tickets at the event or visit the White Oak PFC website at whiteoakpfc.org/shop to purchase ahead of time. All proceeds benefit the White Oak PFC.

Halloween Haunted Trail, Costume Contest and Trick-or-Treat Street in Thousand Oaks on Saturday, October 24, 2026

The Conejo Recreation & Park District will be offering a night full of Halloween fun specifically for young children on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 6:00-9:00pm at the Thousand Oaks Community Center, located at 2525 N. Moorpark Road.

The annual Haunted Trail is a short Halloween hike appropriate for kids of all ages and packed full of fun. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  At the end of the trail there will be a hayride that returns “hikers” to the “haunted trailhead.” Tickets are $5 per person (ages 2+) and MUST be purchased in advance at crpd.org.  The “Trail” will be open from 7:15-9:00pm and tickets are sold by 5 minute time slot.  (There will also be a standby line at the event; $5 per person; cash only) EVENT WILL SELL OUT, SO BUY TICKETS EARLY!

Those dressed in costume may participate in the costume contest.  Age groups range from two and under through adults.  Great prizes will be awarded for each category!  Contest starts at 6:00pm. Registration is free and takes place onsite 20 minutes prior to contest.

The popular Trick-or-Treat Street features Halloween-themed houses created by local organizations who will be ready to hand out treats from 6-8:30pm. Admission to Trick-or-Treat Street is free.

A free live reptile show will take place after the costume contest at 7:00pm.
