Limena Peruvian Eatery opened on July 28th at 2388 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks in the former home of Natas Pastries and Pizzeria la Piccola.
Everything looks, smells and tastes delicious. The menu includes Peruvian favorites like Lomo Saltado (stir-fried beef with red onions, tomatoes, green onions, cilantro and french fries served on white rice), Chaufa de Quinoa Con Vegetables (quinoa in the style of Peruvian fried rice, with bean sprouts, peas, carrots, egg and green onions), fried yuca, and much more.

Caribbean Haven announced via its Instagram page that it has signed a lease and will be the new occupant of 593 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. This was the former home of Pieology (closed in July 2018), Fit2BeThai (late 2012) and awhile back, Olga’s Kitchen.
Caribbean Haven's first location in Montalvo Square in Ventura is a very highly Yelp rated fast casual eatery offering Caribbean, Filipino and vegan food. Learn more about them at www.caribbeanhaven.com.
The owner is anticipating an opening date somewhere between mid-Dec and Feb 1 (which based on my experience watching local grand opening time frames means late summer to early fall 2021 lol). We shall see and be optimistic.

A new eatery called Naru Bento is "coming soon" to Janss Marketplace in the former Subway location, next to one of my favorite boba places in town, Matcha. No other details at this time. Bento meals usually include rice or noodles, fish or meat, veggies and other items.

The third tenant in the space previously occupied by Hooters at Janss Marketplace has been signed. Wingstop will be joining a drive through Starbucks and California Fish Grill at this future location. The existing building is being demolished to make room for new construction. My guess is we’ll see the new eateries opening in mid-2021, but we’ll see.
The Chakaa Tea Cafe sign is up in the Walmart/Walgreens center at 520 N. Ventu Park Road, Suite 140, Newbury Park, in the former home of Rave Organics Cafe. No other information at this point, so stay tuned.
Emil’s Bake House opened at the Shops at Kanan Village, 5005 Kanan Road, Agoura Hills (at Agoura Road), south of the 101, in December 2019.
Emil's carries a fantastic, freshly-baked assortment of pastries, breads, desserts, fruit tarts, cakes, muffins and more, not to mention fresh quiche, They bake everything right here! Lavazza coffee, fresh juices and Pinkberry frozen yogurt too.
I tried. I liked. Bought an assortment of pastries and other baked goodies. There’s a huge selection. Run 20 miles before you go here to burn off the calories needed to consume more.

Recently, Ladyface Alehouse & Brasserie in Agoura Hills changed ownership and rebranded as Tavern Tomoko and Ladyface Brewery.
