Original post 11/12/17: Amelia S gave us the heads up via the Conejo Valley Guide Facebook page that the Five07 Coffee Bar and Eatery is opening sometime this winter at the Oakbrook Plaza in Thousand Oaks, 2036-C East Avenida de los Arboles (next to Vons).
The menu at www.thefive07.com/menu includes coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, paninis and more.
Update 3/19/19: Maya Mexican Cuisine has closed its doors.

The new and improved Carl's Jr at the corner of Westlake and Townsgate in Westlake Village has been open since late December 2017, to the delight of Western Bacon Cheeseburger fans in the area. Now you can order said burger from the comfort of your car seat, with the drive-thru added to the remodeled location. The first generation Carl's eatery at this spot was closed for remodel last summer.
As indicated last May, Dave & Buster's is looking to open its first location in Ventura County, right here in our very own city of Thousand Oaks. The new Dave & Buster's will be opening sometime this year in the former home of Sports Authority at 145 West Hillcrest Drive, #130.
Job opportunities at this new Thousand Oaks location posted on the D&B's website last week include Amusements Manager, Assistant General Manager, Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, Senior Manager and Sr. Corporate Sales Manager. The Reyes Adobe Plaza on Canwood Street in Agoura HIlls welcomed several new eateries in recent months. Charm Thai Cuisine opened last month in the former home of Niroj Kurdish Cuisine (which closed not that long ago - on July 31st). More info at www.eatcharm.com.

Well this is good news! The spot formerly occupied by Subway in the Newbury Square Shopping Center, near Smart & Final Extra! at 2110-C Newbury Road will soon be the home of The Sandwich Spot. Anticipated grand opening date is in October.
The Sandwich Spot's Simi Valley location at 3060 Cochran Street has earned a very solid 4 1/2 star Yelp rating based on over 350 reviews.
The Sandwich Spot bakes fresh breads from the world famous Boudin Bakery in San Francisco in their stores daily. Offering 24 "Signature" sandwiches as well as basic sandwiches with a variety of meats.
