Magma Pizzeria is opening soon in the space formerly occupied by Pizza Twist in the Conejo Gateway Plaza in Newbury Park (711 Wendy Drive). They indicate they will have indoor/outdoor dining and a dedicated deli/grab and go area with imported goods from Italy when they open.

Stephen's Grill is opening a 2nd location this spring at the former Souplantation in the Camarillo Town Center at 375 W. Ventura Blvd. Stephen's specializes in Greek and Mediterranean specialties, soups, souvlaki, entrees, hot sandwiches, deli sandwiches, and more. We first mentioned that Toastique is coming to The Shoppes at Westlake Village a year ago. Recently their sign went up and they indicate they will be opening this year. Their menu features gourmet toast, smoothies, cold-pressed juices, smoothie bowls, coffee, espresso, and more. Located next to Tifa Chocolate & Gelato in the space previously occupied by Hummus Lali, Urban Vejjie, and Greens Up. Another Toastique location opened recently in Porter Ranch. Makenna Koffee Company announced today that it will be opening another location this spring in Newbury Park, at 2700 Teller Road, Suite A, in the former Old New York Deli and Bakery (in the PetSmart/Boot Barn plaza). Follow @makennakoffee_np on Instagram for updates.
This will be Makenna’s 2nd Conejo Valley location. The Westlake Village location in the North Ranch Shopping Center opened on October 11, 2025.

Selvin's Restaurant & Lounge at the Palm Garden Hotel in Newbury Park made the official announcement that today, December 31, 2025, is the last day it will be open. The location will be re-opening at some point early next year as Sette Sorelle ("Seven Sisters") under the ownership/management of the owner of Nonna Westlake Village.
Selvin's opened its doors in June 2024. It was this same time frame in 2019 that the prior occupant of this space, Brendan's Irish Pub, closed its doors.
Meanwhile, during the transition, The Palm Garden has partnered with the nearby Mikey’s Restaurant to offer complimentary breakfast for guests of the hotel. Mikey's will turn two years old next month, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. See their menu and upcoming events at mikeysrestaurants.com
KazuNori: The Original Hand Roll Bar® opens in The Commons at Calabasas tomorrow, December 17th, in the suite between BLVD Steak and Starbucks. KazuNori is a full-service restaurant dedicated to Nozawa style hand rolls, served directly from the chefs’ hands to the guest. First opened in 2014, KazuNori is the first restaurant of its kind, pioneering the concept of a hand roll bar and focusing on serving intentionally simple and intentionally delicious hand rolls.
Named after celebrated sushi chef Kazunori Nozawa, who introduced the cylindrical-style hand roll to the United States more than 40 years ago, KazuNori serves hand rolls made with the highest quality fish, specially harvested seaweed, house-made sauces, and signature warm rice. KazuNori signature hand rolls include toro, lobster, salmon, yellowtail, and crab, as well as less common options such as uni, ankimo, koika, and yamaimo.
