GGR (Girlz Gone Riding) is a group of women of all ages and all levels in the Los Angeles and Ventura County areas. We ride cross country, down-hill, and even hit the pavement with our skinny tires sometimes! We are a positive, supportive group for all levels of riding.
GGR has a very active Facebook group to discuss all things women's cycling related.
Find other women to ride with in your area at your level, network, sign up for clinics, go to places like Big Bear, Mammoth, Kernville, and enjoy a big annual get together with lots of free stuff and organized rides by joining GGR.
Helmets and great attitudes are required! Bring your pearly whites and enthusiasm because we have a blast, go places and take TONS of pictures!

CrossFit workouts incorporate elements from high-intensity interval training, Olympic weightlifting, plyometrics, powerlifting, gymnastics, kettleballs, calisthenics and other exercises. It is practiced by members of over 10,000 affiliated gyms throughout the world by individuals who complete daily workouts (aks "WODs" or "workouts of the day"). CrossFit has become quite popular, so popular that I was wondering how many CrossFit gyms there are here in the vicinity of Ventura County and adjacent areas.
If you visit map.crossfit.com you'll find a useful map of CrossFit affiliate gyms around the world. Here's a compilation of local locations (obviously subject to change):

Jazzercise is a 60-minute group fitness class combining cardio, strength, and stretch moves for a total body workout. We’ve taken moves from hip-hop, yoga, Pilates, jazz dance, kickboxing, and resistance training and bundled them into one hour.
Jazzercise is taught in various venues around Ventura County, including a number of community recreation centers and dance studios. There were a dozen class locations in Agoura, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Oak Park, Newbury Park and Camarillo when I last checked at www.jazzercise.com.
The Ventura County Senior Golf League was formed in 2014 to create a fun, informal environment where you can meet new friends and compete in an enjoyable and non stressful golf league. The intention is to provide a social and competitive atmosphere for the enjoyment of the senior golfer (40 and over). All Bingo Bango Bongo golf games are played at various Ventura County golf courses.
Flight A - For those golfers that normally shoot less than 10 over par.
Flight B - For those that regularly shoot between 11 and 20 over par.
Flight C - For those golfers that will shoot 21 over par and above.

Pacific Coast Baseball League was established in 1993 and currently has over 120 teams and 2.500 players in the Southland. Spring/Summer pre-season starts in February. Fall season is September to November.
There are four divisions, all for players 18 years and older. The National Division is for those with college or higher experience (including pros/ex-pros). The American Division is for those with high school varsity experience. The Federal Division is for those who have less experience but enjoy hardball. Unfortunately for me they don't have a Hacks Division for people like me who are horrible at baseball and would prefer to watch and drink beer!
