The Simi Valley Town Center is hosting its 21st Annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, November 22, 2025 (postponed from November 15 due to rain in forecast) from 4-9PM, featuring dance performances, the Moorpark Jazz Band, arrival of Santa Claus, “snow” fall and shows in the center court and more. The Simi Valley Police Department is hosting its annual Touch A Truck event on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 9am to 2pm at the Simi Valley City Hall front parking lot, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. In lieu of admission, please bring new, unwrapped toys to be donated to Operation Blue Christmas.
There will be trucks and equipment on display from the Simi Valley Police Department, Ventura County Fire, Public Works, and various other public and private organizations. Everyone, especially kids will be allowed access to these vehicles and adults will be able to interact with those persons that use the vehicles and equipment.
The purpose of this event is to raise funds to not only support the Holiday Toy Drive, but also to support unfunded programs, services and technology for the Simi Valley Police Department. These include support for the K9 program, "Save a Life" AED program, Police Explores, SWAT, Bicycle Patrol, Every 15 Minutes program, Crime Prevention, Parenting Project, and many other worthy programs.

Join in on a spooky evening out at Community Center Park on Halloween night with pumpkin painting, lawn games, food trucks, a costume contest (6pm) for all ages and trick or treating. This event is FREE to participants.

The Conejo Recreation & Park District will be offering a night full of Halloween fun specifically for young children on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 6:00-9:00pm at the Thousand Oaks Community Center, located at 2525 N. Moorpark Road.
The annual Haunted Trail is a short Halloween hike appropriate for kids of all ages and packed full of fun. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. At the end of the trail there will be a hayride that returns “hikers” to the “haunted trailhead.” Tickets are $5 per person (ages 2+) and MUST be purchased in advance at crpd.org. The “Trail” will be open from 7:15-9:00pm and tickets are sold by 5 minute time slot. (There will also be a standby line at the event; $5 per person; cash only) EVENT WILL SELL OUT, SO BUY TICKETS EARLY!
Those dressed in costume may participate in the costume contest. Age groups range from two and under through adults. Great prizes will be awarded for each category! Contest starts at 6:00pm. Registration is free and takes place onsite 20 minutes prior to contest.
The popular Trick-or-Treat Street features Halloween-themed houses created by local organizations who will be ready to hand out treats from 6-8:30pm. Admission to Trick-or-Treat Street is free.
A free live reptile show will take place after the costume contest at 7:00pm.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, The Downtown Oxnard Improvement Association will present “Halloween Haunt in the Park.” The kid-friendly thrills occur all evening from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard. Event will feature Trick-or-Treat Village, with booths created by local organizations, bounce houses, face painting, crafts, games, music and more. Costume contest starts at 5:30pm.

The 28th Annual Fall Harvest Festival returns at Underwood Family Farms, 3370 Sunset Valley Road in Moorpark, starting Saturday, September 27 to Friday, October 31, 2025. The farm will transform into a giant Pumpkin Patch, Pick Your Own & Fall Harvest experience filled with games, rides, photo opportunties, live entertainment, themed weekends, bands and more. Festival hours are 9am to 6pm.
Admission: Weekday admission is $16.00, available at the gate only.
