Janss Marketplace announces the 2018 dates and ticket sales launch for the 15-night Reign of Terror Haunted House, one of the top ranked immersive haunt attractions in the U.S. Now entering its 18th-annual season, Reign of Terror opens on September 29th at Janss Marketplace, located off the 101 Freeway, at the intersection of Hillcrest Drive and Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks.
The 2018 Reign of Terror contains over 100 individual rooms and eight attractions in over 23,000 sq ft, making it the largest indoor haunted attraction in Southern California. For a preview of the haunted house, visit www.rothauntedhouse.com.
Early ticket purchase is recommended. Tickets will be available for purchase online at www.rothauntedhouse.com.
The 2018 Reign of Terror will be open from 7 – 10 p.m. on weekdays and Sundays and from 7 – 11 p.m. on Saturdays on the following dates: September 29, October 5-6, 12-14, 19-21, 26-28, 30, 31 and November 3.
Included in the updates for 2018 is an entirely new attraction, called “Inbred”, which features a group of strange and creepy family members living in a ramshackle shack in a forgotten corner of the countryside. Also new for 2018 is “The White-Out Experience”, located inside Reign of Terror’s Fun House attraction. The “White-Out Experience” gives visitors a uniquely unsettling sense of time and place. In addition, on November 3, Reign of Terror will host its first-ever “Lights OUT” event. Visitors to “Lights OUT” will walk through all 105 rooms in total darkness, lit only by one small glow stick per person. This will allow guests to experience Reign of Terror like never before.
Ticket prices range from $15 to $25 for general admission and $25 to $35 for express entry admission to avoid long wait in lines, particularly on weekends. On Reign of Terror dates, the ticket office will also be open starting at 6:30 p.m. Anyone in line for entrance prior to closing time each night is guaranteed entrance.
Reign of Terror is an intense scare experience which can still be enjoyed by all ages. For families with younger children, the Reign of Terror Lights On tours will be offered two Saturday afternoons, October 20 and October 27 from 1 - 4 p.m. Admission for the Lights On tour is $5 for children and adults.
Reign of Terror succeeds in providing more than a good scare by giving back to the community. Each year, through Janss Marketplace generosity in providing the rent-free 23,000 square feet of indoor space above Gold’s Gym, the haunted house donates proceeds from entrance fees to the Conejo Recreation and Parks District.
The annual donations benefit the District's Thousand Oaks Teen Center, Young Artists Ensemble programs and the Conejo Theatre for Everyone, which provides special needs youth the opportunity to perform on stage.
