Hyatt Regency Westlake Announces Drop Yard Food Truck Park to Open Later This Year

The Hyatt Regency Westlake announces the addition of Drop Yard, a 40,000 sq. ft. food truck park slated to open by the end of 2025. It will be located at the corner of Westlake Blvd and the 101 south onramp, with access on Village Glen. Drop Yard owners are partnering with the Hyatt in establishing and maintaining the venue.

Drop Yard will host rotating food trucks, beer and wine, local pop-up vendors, a game area, a stage area for live music, and family-friendly events. The overflow parking area slated for the site will be transformed over the coming months to include new pavement and artificial turf areas for family seating.

bb.q Chicken Opened Today in Agoura Hills

bb.q Chicken opened today at the Agoura Hills City Mall, 5891 Kanan Road. This is a Korean fried chicken franchise with a menu that includes a variety of sauces available on a whole chicken, boneless, and traditional wings. BLVD Steak Opened at The Commons at Calabasas on Friday, June 27th

BLVD Steak opened at The Common at Calabasas on Friday, June 27th, in the former home of Crossroad Kitchen (and before that, Corner Bakery). This is BLVD Steak’s 2nd location - the first one is in Sherman Oaks. BLVD is a high end steakhouse offering prime cuts, fresh seafood, side dishes and craft cocktails. Prince St. Pizza to Open in Westlake Village on Thursday, July 10th

Prince St. Pizza is opening July 10th at The Shoppes at Westlake Village, 30768 Russell Ranch Road. Founded in 2012, Prince St. Pizza has been credited with creating the Spicy Spring, a take on the classic Sicilian-style pizza with cup and char pepperoni. Prince St. slices and pies are made daily from scratch, utilizing a water filtration process to replicate the water used at the original location in New York City. HiHo Cheeseburger Coming to The Commons at Calabasas This Winter

HiHo Cheeseburger is slated to open this winter at The Commons at Calabasas, in the space previously occupied by Pick Up Stix. Founded by Sheeroy Desai, Matt Levin, and Jerry Greenberg, HiHo Cheeseburger is the only burger restaurant that exclusively uses 100% grass-fed Wagyu beef. HiHo emphasizes a simplified ingredient approach across its menu, including buns made with eight clean ingredients and hand-cut fries that contain only potatoes, oil, and salt. Sourdough & Co. Coming This Summer to the Conejo Valley

Howdy's is Coming Soon to Agoura Hills

Howdy's is "opening soon" at 29001 Canwood Street in Agoura Hills, next to Trader Joe's in the space formerly occupied by Jinky's Kanan Cafe until it closed in December 2023. A commercial marketing brochure for the property indicates "Linda by Howdy's Cafe" has signed a 10 year lease for the property that commences in October.

According to the Howdy’s Cafe website, Howdy Kabrins started La Salsa in 1979, expanding to six locations by 1986. After selling La Salsa in 1992, Howdy opened Howdy’s Taqueria in Malibu in 1995 until 2014. Six years later, Howdy’s Sonrisa Cafe opened in Malibu at 23401 Civic Center Way in 2020.
